The **Chief Data Officer (CDO) Advisor - Global Black Belt** also referred to as the Azure Global Black Belt (GBB) Cloud & AI Data Specialist, is a pivotal role in building trust with the Chief Data Officers (CDOs) of our customers, guiding them to build the Data Foundations for their companies' AI Transformation and influencing them to standardize on the Microsoft Intelligent Data platform. This role is crucial for driving the adoption of Azure Data & AI Services, with a particular focus on the MACC (Microsoft Azure Consumption Commitment) accounts.

Accelerate Data & AI growth while influencing Product Excellence and Go-To-Market with the insights and experiences from these engagements.
+ **Strategic Relationships:** Establish trusted advisor relationships with senior business and technology executives (CDO, CIO, CISO, CTO) in top accounts by consistently delivering value through Azure-led innovation, while amplifying Microsoft's thought leadership by actively shaping and participating in CDO community forums, executive panels, and strategic storytelling platforms
+ **Drive Data & AI Platform Standardization: ** Influence CDOs to standardize on the Microsoft Data & AI platforms end-to-end, across their Analytics platform, Data Governance, and Databases to support their companies' AI transformation
+ **Accelerate Azure Data Services Growth: ** Drive the increase of Azure Data Services share in key accounts, with a focus on MACC accounts. Key outcome: Increase ADS (Azure Data Services) share of ACR (Azure Consumed Revenue) in MACC agreements / MACC accounts, win new MACCs (Microsoft Azure Consumption Commitments)
+ **Remove blockers and accelerate sales:** Identify and resolve roadblocks that may hinder customer progress, bring values into deal strategy to assist sellers with deep expertise in top partner offerings globally, capacity and pricing/SKU/model, use case scenarios, process, business value articulation for assigned specialization area
+ **Win Over Competitors & Business Commitment:** Expert in compete coaching against major Public Cloud Hyper Scalers competitors by defining winning competitive strategies (win back, surround), demonstrating superior solutions and securing business commitment
+ **Incubation to Mainstream:** Spot repeatable patterns in sales motions (e.g., commercial constructs, customer scenarios) and scale them across the field

**Required/minimum qualifications**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Information Security, or related field AND 6+ years experience in technology-related sales or account management OR equivalent experience.
+ 6+ years of experience leading the sales of large cloud engagements, especially those involving Data, Analytics and AI solutions to large/global enterprise customers.

Solution Area Specialists IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $133,000 - $22,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD 170,300 - 239,800 per year.

**About This Role:**
The Principal - Data Analytics is a hands-on expert who designs and delivers scalable ETL processes, performs complex data analysis, and builds high-impact Tableau dashboards that drive decision-making. This role partners closely with senior leadership, cross-functional teams, and subject-matter experts to translate business questions into data solutions, and present insights that influence strategy and outcomes.
**What You'll Do:**
+ Own the end-to-end lifecycle of analytics solutions: requirements gathering, data acquisition, ETL, modeling, visualization, and delivery.
+ Design, build, and optimize ETL pipelines to integrate, cleanse, and transform data from multiple sources.
+ Conduct complex data analysis to surface trends, diagnose issues, and identify opportunities; translate findings into actionable recommendations.
+ Develop, maintain, and iterate Tableau Desktop dashboards and reports with a focus on usability, performance, and storytelling.
+ Write advanced SQL for data manipulation, modeling, validation, and performance tuning across large, complex data sets.
+ Collaborate closely with senior leadership, business stakeholders, and SMEs to prioritize use cases, define metrics, and align on success criteria.

**Do You Have?**

+ Strong SQL expertise, including complex joins, window functions, optimization, and query performance tuning.
+ Strong Tableau Desktop skills: complex calculations (including LOD expressions), parameters, actions, design best practices, and dashboard performance optimization.
+ Hands-on experience building and maintaining visual ETL processes using modern tools or frameworks.
