**What You Bring:**

The Language Access Services department, formerly known as Language Assistance, is an essential resource to facilitate communications between Limited English Proficiency (LEP) patients and health care providers.
Our team is composed of professional qualified interpreters specialized in medical interpretation in the languages most often requested at MD Anderson: Spanish, Arabic, Mandarin.
All MD Anderson medical interpreters/translators are screened and qualified by the Language Access Services department and periodically evaluated for proficiency and competency.
SUMMARY:
Provides oral and written translation of patient care-related material.
Our medical interpreters are involved in direct patient care whenever there is a language barrier. They are the voice of patients and staff. Interpreters will not answer patients' medical questions, but rather guide patients to the proper resources. All medical questions should be answered by the appropriate health care provider, and other patient concerns are to be handled by the staff specialized in the issue of concern.
* Provides oral translation of discussions related to patient referral, new patient registration, financial evaluation, patient assessment, treatment planning, admissions, discharge and other clinical and healthcare related discussions.
* Provides written translation of patient histories and other medical reports, patient education and instructional material, advance directives, medical documents and other institutional publications.

Utilize language skills on a near daily basis to enable research and analysis. Identify and document the dominant sources and social media platforms in the arena and AOR(s) of responsibility. Monitor prioritized sources, identify key events and entities for research and analysis, and identify potential new data sources. Minimum Requirements Active in-scope TS/SCI with Polygraph. Bachelor's degree is required. Twelve to fifteen years of experience in the US Intelligence Community. Minimum four years targeting or open-source exploitation experience; 10 plus years preferred. Advanced skills (reading, some listening) in Chinese, evidence of language capability determined by standardaized testing scores (minimum ILR 2+ for reading and listening) and/or by work experience. Able to summarize Chinese language materials into English and contextualize findings in research summaries. Proven track-record in written and verbal communication, including briefings for client managers. Proficiency in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Ability to work independently with limited direction and oversight, while contributing to collaborative work product and team. Superior time-management skills, including ability to flex to support short-fuse taskings while maintaining progress on longer-term projects. Ability to learn sophisticated work processes and identify opportunities and requirements to improve those processes. Ability and willingness to document and share lessons learned with team. Willingness to flex to learn new subject matter and accounts to support client and team objectives. Preferred Qualifications Experience analyzing social media platform content, including using API calls to collect data. Experience in python or other programming languages to support social media and OSINT analysis. Experience as a network pen-tester, use of Cali Linux open source exploitation tools, Security+ or similar IT certifications are also of interest but not required. Work Environment Travel between local worksites will be required. Normal office working conditions with possible requirement to lift and/or move objects or packages of up to 25 lbs. Limited non-traditional working hours including consecutive nights or weekends may be needed.
