In this role you will be responsible for partnership with peer hardware & system Architecture teams regarding the Validation strategy and key focus areas for our Client PC division. You will participate in the architecture and definition activities associated with methods for validating hardware PC systems and broader solutions and influence the downstream global Validation execution teams. This will include activities like identifying needs for new/different test and diagnostic programs, fixtures, and tools, and helping the Validation execution team identify labor, schedules, equipment, and software required for validating and evaluating our new and innovative solutions.

**Essential Requirements**
- Extensive knowledge of PC hardware architecture, design, subsystem components
- Extensive experience with PC and/or PC ecosystem Validation principles

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a highly skilled Hardware Architect / Technical Liaison Engineer to join our automotive engineering team. This role will serve as a bridge between our internal engineering teams, customers, and external partners, ensuring technical alignment and driving the successful development of next-generation automotive hardware platforms. The ideal candidate will combine strong hardware design expertise with excellent communication and coordination skills. Through close collaboration and direction from the Engineering Team in Taipei, this position will be the first Point of Contact for US based OEM customers primarily through the Proof Of Concept & Early Development phases.
Key responsibilities:
- Collaborate regularly with R&D teams across Compaloften across time zonesas well as with customer engineering teams.
- Rely on strong remote communication skills to clearly convey complex technical concepts.
- Serve as the primary technical interface between internal teams, OEMs, and Tier-1 suppliers.
- Translate customer requirements into clear, actionable technical specifications for design and development teams.
- Deliver technical presentations, documentation, and progress updates to both customers and management.
- Capture implicit needs from OEM brainstorming sessions (e.g., seamless cockpit experience, next-gen sensor fusion) and define measurable technical boundaries (power budgets, interface protocols, environmental targets).
- Draft POC-specific Statements of Objectives (SOO) with clearly defined success criteria, distinguishing between mandatory and optional requirements.
- Ensure seamless integration of mechanical, electrical, and software systems into a cohesive, high-performing solution.
- Work onsite with OEM engineers during bench tests to quickly diagnose HW/SW interaction issues, coordinate Taipei-based debug support, and translate failure modes into actionable design updates.
- Document "Lessons Learned" to transform POC findings into mass-production requirements.
- Lead testing and validation to confirm integrated systems meet performance, safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
- Diagnosing and resolving complex integration challenges, including hardware/software conflicts, performance bottlenecks, and manufacturing inconsistencies.
- Ensure all designs and integration processes comply with automotive industry standards, safety regulations, and internal requirements.
- Develop and maintain detailed documentation, including design specifications, integration workflows, validation procedures, and test results.
- Partner closely with mechanical, electrical, software, validation, and manufacturing teams to drive integration success throughout the development lifecycle.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in the design, integration, and testing of electronic and mechanical assemblies (ADAS, Digital Cockpit, Connectivity, Zonal ECUs) within the automotive industry.
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience with prototype bring-up, bench validation, and DFM-to-DFA transition.
- Deep understanding of vehicle system architectures, component-level design, and multi-domain integration processes.
- Proficient in engineering design and simulation tools such as CAD, CAE, and related software platforms.
- Strong familiarity with hardware interfaces and protocols including MIPI CSI-2, USB, GMSL, FPD-Link III, CAN, RS-232, and Ethernet.
- Experience developing and interpreting component and system-level specifications.

**The Opportunity:**
CACI is seeking a highly skilled and strategic **Hardware ServiceNow Architect** supporting the Department of the Air Force (DAF) **Enterprise IT as a Service (EITaaS) program** with expertise in Hardware Asset Management (HAM). This role is focused on designing, implementing, and governing the end-to-end HAM solution within the ServiceNow platform. **Responsibilities:**
**HAM Architectural Strategy & Vision:**
+ Define the long-term architectural vision, strategy, and roadmap for Hardware Asset Management within the ServiceNow platform, aligning with overall enterprise architecture and business objectives.
+ Lead the design of comprehensive, scalable, and secure HAM solutions that encompass the entire hardware asset lifecycle (planning, procurement, receiving, inventory, deployment, use, maintenance, refresh, disposal).
+ Translate complex business requirements from Finance, Procurement, Operations, and IT into detailed architectural designs and technical specifications for ServiceNow HAM.
**ServiceNow HAM Module & CMDB:**
+ Act as the subject matter expert and lead architect for the ServiceNow Hardware Asset Management (HAM) module, ensuring its optimal configuration and utilization.
+ Architect the ServiceNow Configuration Management Database (CMDB) specifically for hardware assets, focusing on data model integrity, relationships, normalization, reconciliation, and discovery strategies for various hardware types.
+ Design and implement robust automated workflows within ServiceNow using Service Catalog, Flow Designer and custom modules for key HAM processes (e.g., asset requests, procurement approvals, stockroom management, asset assignment, refresh/disposal).
**Integration & Data Integrity:**
+ Design and oversee complex integrations between ServiceNow HAM and critical enterprise systems, network discovery tools, and other asset inventory systems.
+ Establish and enforce data quality standards, governance frameworks, and reconciliation processes to ensure the accuracy and completeness of hardware asset data in ServiceNow.
**Financial & Operational Optimization:**
+ Architect solutions to track hardware asset costs, depreciation, lease information, and contract details within ServiceNow, enabling Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis.
+ Drive the automation of asset-related financial processes and reporting, contributing to cost savings and improved financial visibility.
+ Develop strategies for hardware asset utilization tracking, lifecycle optimization, and proactive refresh planning.
**Leadership & Governance:**
+ Establish and enforce architectural standards, best practices, and governance policies for all aspects of HAM implementation and data management within ServiceNow.
+ Provide expert technical guidance, mentorship, and oversight to ServiceNow developers, administrators, and implementation partners working on HAM initiatives.
+ Lead technical design reviews, ensuring solutions are maintainable, extensible, and align with platform best practices.
**Stakeholder Engagement & Innovation:**
+ Collaborate extensively with cross-functional leaders (Procurement, Operations, IT, Compliance) to gather requirements, build consensus, and drive adoption of HAM solutions.
+ Stay abreast of the latest ServiceNow HAM features, industry trends, and emerging technologies to recommend innovative solutions.
**Qualifications:**
_Required:_
+ Local candidates will follow a hybrid schedule of 3 days per week in the Chantilly, VA office and 2 days per week working from home
+ 15+ Years of relevant experience (Bachelor's Degree in applicable field may be substituted for 5 years of experience).
+ 10+ years of progressive experience in IT, with at least 5 years in a ServiceNow Architect role.
+ Deep and demonstrable expertise with ServiceNow Hardware Asset Management (HAM) module.
+ Extensive hands-on experience and architectural expertise with ServiceNow CMDB and Discovery, specifically tailored for hardware assets.
+ Proven experience designing and implementing complex integrations between ServiceNow HAM and other systems.
+ Comprehensive understanding of the entire hardware asset lifecycle, from strategic planning and procurement through deployment, maintenance, and disposal.

+ Experience with ServiceNow Software Asset Management (SAM) in relation to hardware dependencies and licensing compliance.
+ Knowledge of industry asset management standards (e.g., ISO 55000).
