**RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Oversee that all aspects of the security function on-site are performed in a diligent manner (staffing, scheduling, and on-site training all Allied Universal®. personnel assigned to his/her site)
+ Ensure that contract-required training and screening elements for security personnel have been met
+ Maintain overtime to a minimal or preset requirement designated by AUS
+ Ensure quality of service and contract compliance by regularly inspecting security personnel and their job performance when assigned to his/her shift
+ Perform other operations and related functions (e.g., payroll, review and maintain incident reports, assist in preparation of security surveys and post orders)
+ Make recommendations for positive and negative personnel actions for those under his/her direct supervision.

**QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):**
+ Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
+ Must be able to pass any State-required training or other qualifications for licensing
+ Must be able to pass a state licensing test if driving a company-owned or client-provided vehicle
+ Must possess one or more of the following:
+ Service in the active-duty military, military reserves, or National Guard
+ Service in Auxiliary Police or Police Cadets
+ Minimum of one year verifiable and successful supervisory experience in security-related industry
+ Associate's degree or higher in any discipline

Under the direction of the Construction Director, they oversee the completion of project tasks and monitor adherence to perpetual project management process standards. The Construction Manager must have knowledge and experience in residential construction, schedule management, vendor management, and Green Building Standards. Knowledge of Xactimate is preferred.

Construction Managers are responsible for ensuring general contractors adhere to program policies and procedures and contractually mandated schedules. Construction Managers serve as the main point of contact for general contractors and must use their knowledge of best practices in residential construction and project management to recommend corrective action for schedule slippage; ensure timely delivery of multiple projects simultaneously, and communicate project expectations, rules or standards to general contractors.

Essential Functions:

• Define project scopes and objectives, including review and approval of cost estimates
• Prepare project plans, including workflows, detailed schedules, procedures, and any other tools necessary in the development and implementation of day-to-day project tasks.
• Manage contracts and agreements by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables.
• Anticipate and adjust project plans for the efficient execution of project tasks.

• Participate in pre-construction meeting with GC, Design Staff and homeowners as needed;
• Develops, executes, and manages the project timetable and completion schedule by prioritizing tasks, accounting for anticipated and unanticipated delays to weather or changes to specifications and plans, and makes recommendations to resolve delay issues; Experience in scheduling, ordering, field supervision, quality control, and production of all phases of residential construction is preferable.

Required Education and Experience

3+ years in construction management role experience

• Knowledge and experience in Green Building Standards such as: Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) (New Construction, Homes, Midrise, Existing Buildings Operations and Maintenance, or Neighborhood Development), ENERGY STAR (Certified Homes or Multifamily High-Rise), Enterprise Green Communities, ICC-700 National Green Building Standard, EPA Indoor AirPlus (ENERGY STAR a prerequisite), the "Permiso Verde," or any other equivalent comprehensive green building program preferred.

About This Business Unit
Sargent & Lundy's Government Services Division provides cutting-edge engineering design and consulting support to the management and operating contractors for US Department of Energy (DOE) sites and national laboratories. Specifically, we support the DOE Environmental Management Directorate as well as the National Nuclear Security Administration laboratories and sites. What does this mean? You can be a part of multi-discipline design teams supporting projects cleaning up the environmental damage associated with the legacy nuclear weapons production complex and/or preserving our country's nuclear deterrent. Sargent & Lundy's personnel design facilities, systems, and equipment that treat, store, and dispose of nuclear waste as well as systems that safely handle and process nuclear material. Sargent & Lundy's Government Services Division provides cutting-edge engineering and consulting to the management and operating contractors for the US Department of Energy (DOE) and the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA). This is a mid-level design engineering position that offers a variety of challenging opportunities in Mechanical Engineering and will provide an excellent opportunity for career advancement.
+ Support mechanical design engineering efforts on multi-disciplined project design team
+ Responsible for production of engineering calculations/analyses, design drawings and engineering reports
+ Apply mechanical engineering expertise to the design and qualification of structures, systems, and components
+ Produce Procurement Specifications and Construction Specifications (Mechanical sections)
+ Attend project meetings and perform field walk downs
+ Mentor junior engineers
+ Approximately 25% domestic travel
Qualifications
Must be a U.S. Citizen; Dual citizenship with a country other than the U.S. does not qualify.
Essential skills and experience:
+ Must be able to obtain US Government security clearance
+ BSME or MSME degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program
+ 5+ years of progressive responsible experience in mechanical engineering in a nuclear environment (DOE preferred, commercial or Navy)
+ Experience with ASME and other national consensus codes and standards
Valued, but not required skills and experience:
+ PE license
+ Field Engineering and Construction Experience is a plus
+ Experience with remote handling equipment (e.g., glove boxes, fume hoods, etc.) design and installation strongly desired

Description
This is a entry-level design engineering position that offers a variety of challenging opportunities in Civil/Structural Engineering and will provide an excellent opportunity for career advancement.
+ Support Civil and/or Structural design engineering efforts on multi-disciplined project design team
+ Under supervision, responsible for production of engineering calculations/analyses, design drawings, specifications, and engineering reports. Ensure that calculations and deliverables are technically sound and in accordance with project requirements
+ Apply civil and structural engineering principles to the design and qualification of structures, systems, and components
+ Attend project meetings and perform field walk downs
Qualifications
Must be a U.S. Citizen; Dual citizenship with a country other than the U.S. does not qualify.
Essential skills and experience:
+ Must be able to obtain US Government security clearance
+ BSCE, BSSE, or BSME degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program; MS degree preferred
+ 3+ years of progressively responsible experience in civil and structural engineering
+ Self-motivated, have a strong willingness to learn, be able to work independently as well as with a multi-disciplined team, and have excellent organizational and communication skills
+ Knowledge of the practical application of structural engineering
Valued but not required skills and experience:
+ Fundamentals of Engineering (FE/EIT) certificate
+ Multiple years of experience in a nuclear environment (DOE preferred, commercial or Navy), highly desirable
+ Familiarity with design codes such as ACI, ASCE 7, IBC, and AISC
+ Familiarity with structural analysis software such as ANSYS or SAP2000 or equivalent
+ Field Engineering and Construction Experience
