Job Description

This position is responsible for reviewing all full Design Review orders to ensure accuracy and that they meet all required industry standards and manufacturing capabilities. All data received for orders is reviewed to ensure everything is accurate and complete before being released to CAM tooling. The ideal candidate will have Printed Circuit Board experience, be able to read drawings/blueprints, have experience with CAM (Computer Aided Manufacturing) software (Pentalogix, Genesis, etc.) , and have knowledge of IPC Quality Standards.

Essential Job Duties

  • Reviews orders, all customer data, drawings, specifications, PO, communications, and anything else received for the specific job.
  • Using CAM software, performs DFM (Design for Manufacturability) check using all data and information received for the order.
  • Understands industry standards, and PCB manufacturing processes and capabilities.
  • Identifies conflicts or violations between order, all data received, PCB manufacturing processes and capabilities, and industry standards.
  • Communicates directly with sales, customer, manufacturing, or any other needed to resolve all conflicts or violations found.
  • Recommends resolutions if needed to resolve any issues.
  • Places job on hold while discrepancies are being resolved.
  • Updates order, or verifies accuracy of order update done by sales, if needed, when all hold issues are resolved. Revises ship dates as needed to ensure lead time is met and communicates this to customer.
  • Documents all findings and resolutions using company procedures.
  • Releases to CAM tooling when all issues and conflicts are resolved.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

**What are your contributions to the team?**

Primary Responsibilities  

  Position Summary:    

The Engineering Manager – Electronics  plans, organizes, and directs a team of engineers to meet plant and company objectives for design, new product development, and improvement of existing product lines. The manager must have the ability to collaborate with Global Engineering, Product Management, Project Managers and other operational departments to ensure the delivered product is production-ready and has the greatest chance of commercial success while expanding Hydro’s brand value. The Segment Engineering Manager should be very target-focused in and meet the department’s KPI of NPD Revenue, NPD Quality, On-time delivery, and On-BOM cost by performing or facilitating the following duties.  

  Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Effectively manage assigned projects to deliver on-time, within scope, and within budget.  

  • Consults with customers, vendors, and cross functional departments to prepare design modifications and functional expectations.  

  • Analyze product specification and performance requirements to ensure customer expectations and company profitability expectations can be met.  

  • Develop and oversee product design plans and methods of manufacturing for assigned product lines.  

  • Provide electronic technical direction and planning for internal and external engineers throughout the research, design, development, construction and launch phases of New Product Development.  

  • Plans, coordinates and directs the activities of the engineering team to ensure company targets are achieved   

  • Manage and prioritize product development and sustaining work to achieve defined targets.

Primary Responsibilities  

  Position Summary:    

The Engineering Manager – Electronics  plans, organizes, and directs a team of engineers to meet plant and company objectives for design, new product development, and improvement of existing product lines. The manager must have the ability to collaborate with Global Engineering, Product Management, Project Managers and other operational departments to ensure the delivered product is production-ready and has the greatest chance of commercial success while expanding Hydro’s brand value. The Segment Engineering Manager should be very target-focused in and meet the department’s KPI of NPD Revenue, NPD Quality, On-time delivery, and On-BOM cost by performing or facilitating the following duties.  

  Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Effectively manage assigned projects to deliver on-time, within scope, and within budget.  

  • Consults with customers, vendors, and cross functional departments to prepare design modifications and functional expectations.  

  • Analyze product specification and performance requirements to ensure customer expectations and company profitability expectations can be met.  

  • Develop and oversee product design plans and methods of manufacturing for assigned product lines.  

  • Provide electronic technical direction and planning for internal and external engineers throughout the research, design, development, construction and launch phases of New Product Development.  

  • Plans, coordinates and directs the activities of the engineering team to ensure company targets are achieved   

  • Manage and prioritize product development and sustaining work to achieve defined targets.

As a Electrical Engineering Technician, you’ll be part of our Power Tools Group team working as an onsite employee. You’ll get to:

  • Assist other technicians and engineers with test preparation and troubleshooting.

  • Prepare cells and packs for testing such as resistance welding, soldering, and wiring.

  • Perform cell and pack abuse, environmental, and cycle life testing, on a variety of equipment and software.

  • Assemble and repair fixtures and test set-ups.

  • Perform equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and recycling of cells and packs.

  • Maintain supplies and cell storage.
