Job Description:
As a Electrical Engineer Specialist in the Agile Development Group (ADG), you will be part of developing disruptive, next-generation technologies for advanced Unmanned Air Systems (UAS / UAV). Your main duties will include leading design, test, and integration of circuit card assemblies containing analog, digital, power and high speed circuits, along with supporting cables and wiring harnesses for UAS / UAV's, advanced radar systems, next-generation weapon systems, and other RF sensor technologies.
Essential Functions:
+ Responsible for leading electrical design tasks including requirements analysis, specification generation, interface definition, component selection, circuit simulation, schematic capture, and board layout
+ Engage in advanced digital CCA and flex cable design implementing an array of complex components including both high performance and conventional data converters, memory, FPGAs, processors, op amps, and logic devices
+ Design product support test hardware including breakout boards and interface cable fixtures and develop test plans and procedures for digital subsystems and all relevant documentation for design description and requirements
+ Interact with software and FPGA engineers to test and troubleshoot electrical circuits and interfaces of the CCAs
+ Participate in risk assessment and develop mitigation strategies
+ Interface with interdisciplinary design teams and reviews.
+ Schedule, cost, and technical responsibility at the board or sub-circuit level.
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree in engineering or science and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related Electrical Engineering experience.
+ Position requires an active Secret Security Clearance with the ability to work SAP (Special Access Program)
+ 2+years or more with the following technologies: Advanced processors, I2C, SPI, RS232, RS422, Ethernet, CAN, PCIe, Op Amps / feedback loops / switching circuits / power circuits, and Motor drivers
+ 3 years experience with CAD tools: Simulation, Modeling, Schematic Capture, etc.
+ Professional experience with basic digital test equipment including oscilloscopes, bus analyzers, signal generator, and power meters
+ Professional experience with general circuit board layout techniques
Preferred Additional Skills:

+ Generate PCB CAD layout design data to meet product requirements.
+ Aid checking completed design layouts and drawings to certify standards, procedures, specifications, manufacturability and accuracy of physical dimensions.
+ Conduct Comprehensive design reviews with engineering and manufacturing teams to design completion, which confirm to costs and requirements.

**What you Bring:**
+ Associate of Science (AS) degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.

+ Must Have extensive knowledge experience designing high-density interconnect (HDI), including dense double-sided PCBs with 26+ layer/Mult lamination rigid Blind/Buried Via with uVia Structures.
+ Solid Command Experience using Siemens Expedition (PCB) as well as Siemens Expedition DX Designer (SCH) tools.
+ Able to generate parts for the PCB environment and update/ maintain libraries, control integration to SCH files.
+ Able to generate Fabrication drawings per ASME and CW standards.
+ Understanding of IPC-600, 610 6012 and 7351 industry standards.
+ Proficient in Microsoft office: Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting ideas and information to peer tears.

In this role you will have the opportunity to:
+ Function as a technical Lead substation design engineer for FACTS projects involving (distribution, sub transmission and transmission level voltage classes)
+ Utilize resources available for safety and regulatory standards (IEEE, IEC, NEC, NESC, NERC, ISO/RTO) to effectively define project requirements, review project deliverables (physical, P&C, power system design) and collaborate with owner and OEM resources (subject matter experts, internal engineering, and project management).

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $85.00/hr.
