Job Description

All Energy Solar is seeking a full-time Journeyworker Electrician to join our team. The Journeyworker Electrician will cooperate with installation crew as well as perform the necessary tasks required to ensure the safe and successful operation of residential and commercial solar electric systems. The work is generally comprised of indoor work, outdoor ground-level work, and minimal roof work.

Responsibilities & Essential Functions
  • Install grid tied solar electric systems.
  • Install battery backup hybrid solar systems and EV Chargers (Tesla, Enphase, etc.).
  • Provide service upgrades.
  • Install, test, and confirm solar system monitoring.
  • Complete all work to current NEC codes.
  • Supervise and participate in installation of electrical components by unlicensed installers and apprentices and perform commissioning and attend shutdowns and inspections as needed.
  • Take responsibility for personal and electrical safety on the job site by following and enforcing all safety regulations.
  • Adherence and compliance to all safety activities and requirements.
  • Other duties as needed by management.
Skills/Qualifications
  • Required: Current Minnesota Journeyworker/Journeyman Electrician license.
  • Preferred: Current Wisconsin, Iowa, or Illinois Journeyworker/Journeyman Electrician licenses.
  • Solar experience (preferred).
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in electrical installations.
  • Proficient 2023 NEC code knowledge.
  • Proficient in conduit bending (" to 2").
  • Ability to accurately read and understand blueprints.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

The Vice President | Twin Cities will be responsible for developing a team focused on planning and delivering successful projects and will support regional business development primarily focusing on the Minnesota and Western Wisconsin markets. The Vice President | Twin Cities will be an excellent communicator, collaborative leader, proven business developer, and strategic thinker to represent the interests of the firm through building and maintaining client relationships and fostering the growth of our internal team.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Reports to Executive Vice Presidents while interfacing with all levels of leadership to ensure adherence to Bray’s standards and project expectations.
  • Work closely with firm leadership, business development, and marketing team members to build long-term strategic relationships with clientele, generate new leads, and identify new business opportunities.
  • Work with firm leadership and business development to build, foster, and maintain relationships with consultants and other industry partners.
  • Work with leadership, business development, and marketing teams in developing strategy for and preparation of client proposals and interviews.
  • Lead client interviews when required to engage new clients.
  • Define regional performance objectives, development plans, goals, and ensure alignment with firm’s strategic objectives.
  • Oversee and manage team(s) through multiple projects, in partnership with Delivery Team Leader(s) and Project Leader(s), to successfully implement a client’s vision.
  • Lead client communication and maintain client relationships for multiple projects.
  • Prepare for and lead client meetings, presentations, and engagement with stakeholders including facilitating decision making in a public setting and engaging in public speaking.
  • Create and manage project schedules, budgets, and staffing plans in partnership with Delivery Team Leader(s).
  • Engage in the pre-referendum planning process with clients and stakeholders.
  • May perform as a lead on strategic projects or in resolution of technical and/or performance related challenges.
  • Identify key hires in the Minnesota marketplace and coordinate hiring efforts with Executive Vice Presidents and human resources team.
  • Motivate, coach and guide direct reports and provide technical direction and guidance.
  • Ability to review AIA contracts, align scope of services, monitor project progress, and organize project financial information to support invoicing in collaboration with the Director of Contract Management.
  • Assist with preparing and administering requests for proposals for consultants and other specialty services.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate shall have attained:

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree from an accredited architecture program
  • Licensed Architect (ideally including Minnesota)
  • A minimum of 5 years in a managerial or leadership role.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience leading public sector design projects (ideally educational and/or municipal)
  • Management/supervisory experience
  • Strong organizational skills and comfort level with a fast-paced environment
  • Proven ability to lead new client engagement including development of proposal and interview strategy and the leadership of successful interview presentations.
  • Strong blend of management skills and technical expertise demonstrated by superior planning, decision-making, negotiation, communication, leadership, and desire and ability to dive into the details as required.
  • Experience managing multiple clients, projects, and teams including delegating work, establishing and adhering to project schedules, and managing budgets
  • Communication/presentation skills to lead external and internal meetings
  • Experience developing and maintaining client relationships
  • Experience in all phases of architectural projects, obtaining municipal and state approvals, and working with construction managers and general contractors
  • Ability to tactfully confront, creatively manage, and quickly resolve conflict
  • Experience with standard AIA contracts and documents
  • Willingness to mentor team members and serve as a resource
  • Experience using Autodesk Revit® and delivering projects utilizing Building Information Modeling (BIM)
  • Willingness to travel (generally within Minnesota and Western Wisconsin with minimal overnight stays)

Summary

The Project Engineer II plays a crucial role in supporting the engineering team delivering essential municipal services that enhance urban living and support local government. The Project Engineer will be able engage in three aspects of Municipal Services civil engineering: Development Review and Land Development Project Management, Capital Improvement Planning and Project Management, and Public Infrastructure Design. The role involves working along industry professionals, seasoned engineers, junior engineers, and other technical staff to provide quality and streamlined services to local municipalities. The role may require the Project Engineer II to provide on-site services to clients working from municipalities. Ideal candidates will demonstrate expertise in engineering principles, dedication in evaluating municipal developments to uphold the highest standards for community welfare, and a passion for serving the community.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform reviews of development projects and plans - preliminary and construction stages.

• Under the supervision of senior engineers, assist in the drafting, design and development of engineering projects.

• Performs as-needed staff augmentation roles for clients which may include the preparation of staff reports and recommendations related to engineering projects.

• Performs as-needed field visits to ensure quality standards for design and development projects.

• Collaborate with team members to analyze project requirements and develop effective solutions.

• Conduct testing and validation of engineering designs to ensure functionality and reliability.

• Support troubleshooting efforts by identifying and resolving technical issues in a timely manner.

• Document engineering processes and maintain accurate records of project developments.


Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field. 5-7 years of experience in an engineering role required.

• Engineer In Training certification required.

• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations required.

• Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and clients required.

• CA Professional Engineer License preferred.

• Experience working with public agencies preferred.

• Proficiency in engineering software and tools relevant to the business services industry preferred.

• Experience with project management methodologies. Certification in a relevant engineering discipline preferred.

Compensation Range

$86,400.00 - $134,000.00

The expected compensation range for this position is displayed in accordance with the California SB 1162. The final agreed-upon compensation is based on a number of factors, including but not limited to: individual education, qualifications, skills, prior work experience, competencies, and geographic work location. The total annual compensation package may consist of a base salary and eligibility to participate, after a qualifying period, in our performance and discretionary incentive bonus program(s).
