Our client, a prominent civil engineering consultancy in **Houston, Texas, US**, is looking for a talented and ambitious Civil Design Engineer to join their expanding team. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute to diverse infrastructure projects, including transportation, water resources, and land development. You will be responsible for performing engineering design, calculations, and analysis for a variety of civil engineering projects, ensuring that all designs meet industry standards, client requirements, and regulatory compliance. Key duties include preparing detailed design drawings, specifications, and reports using CAD software, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, conducting site investigations, and providing technical support during construction. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of civil engineering principles, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and proficiency in relevant design software. A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university is required, and a Master's degree is a plus. A minimum of 4 years of experience in civil design, with exposure to transportation or water systems projects, is essential. Professional Engineer (PE) licensure or the ability to obtain it in Texas is highly preferred. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and HEC-RAS is expected.
