**Job Overview:**

**Description**
The Assistant Civil Engineer will work under the supervision of a licensed professional engineer to assist project teams to create world class designs for new projects, alterations and redevelopments on a variety of projects including underground and overhead high voltage transmission lines. The Assistant Civil Engineer will work with the project team throughout the design and construction process, adapting transmission line plans according to budget constraints, design factors or client needs.
+ Assists in the transmission line design of projects from the conceptual phase through design completion.

**Qualifications**

**What You'll Be Doing**
**Job Summary:** Generally responsible for supervision and technical direction over a team of engineers and designers when functioning as a lead engineer. As lead engineer, responsibilities include total delivery of the civil/structural deliverables and services on time, within performance budget and meeting quality expectations. In this position, you will be joining teams locally and across the West Coast, working on a portfolio of large diameter water, water reuse, and wastewater conveyance projects with our Water Services Group.

-Creating and signing off on basic to highly complex

**Responsibilities**
+ Design of water and wastewater treatment facilities
+ Plans, schedules, and conducts engineering work on projects of small to medium sizes

**Qualifications**

+ Registration as a Professional Engineer or ability to obtain upon employment
+ Must have demonstrated experience with managing and designing medium sized projects with full responsibility for budget, schedule, contractual obligations and quality standards
+ Experience designing wastewater treatment plants, including development of conceptual/preliminary designs and detailed design document preparation
+ Ability to communicate effectively with clients and project team
+ Deliver high quality services within budget and schedule constraints
+ Experience working with wastewater collection systems and water and reclaimed water transmission/distribution projects
+ Proficient in MS Word and Excel

**Pay Range**
$100,000 to $150,000 annually. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting.
