The Position
cLEAN® is Novo Nordisk's distinctive system for continuous improvement and operational excellence, rooted in Lean and Six Sigma principles. The Analyst, cLEAN will primarily concentrate on training employees to ensure a thorough understanding of the cLEAN program. Additionally, they will collaborate with manufacturing teams to pinpoint opportunities for waste reduction and process optimization and provide training and support in completing CI related projects.

Essential Functions
+ Assist site leaders to develop Continuous Improvement (CI) plans; identify, prioritize, & initiate CI opportunities; follow-through on CI activities
+ Provide coaching for site leaders & team members to develop the cLEAN® mindset
+ Develop, lead, &/or facilitate CI kaizen workshops, problem solving workshops, failure investigations
+ Communicate across site to share best practices, success stories, ideas; collaborate across NNPILP sites as appropriate
+ Provide formal training in cLEAN® programs across sites
+ Provide coaching & mentoring for 1-Star, 2-Star & 3-Star project leaders across site
+ Manage/lead complex cross-functional CI projects
+ Apply PDCA/DMAIC/DICOB methodologies to achieve significant, measurable improvement in business, support, & production processes
+ Support in directing, coaching, & mentoring for site team members
+ Manage/lead cLEAN® site initiatives
+ Develop & lead change management plans for CI initiatives; develop control plans intended to sustain improvement gains
+ Provide expertise to site in a variety of other areas as required, such as statistical & data analysis, MS Office products, project management, change management, etc.
+ Follow all safety & environmental requirements in the performance of duties
+ Other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements
May move equipment and/or supplies weighing up to 33 pounds within the facility using various body positions. May be required to be on your feet for up to a 12-hour shift. May be required to have corrected vision to 20/20 or 20/25 based on role. May require color vision based on role. May require the ability to work in loud noise environments with hearing protection.
Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Statistics, Business, or a relevant field of study from an accredited university with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in manufacturing, maintenance, quality assurance, engineering, supply chain, and process improvement required, preferably in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment
+ Certification & demonstrated experience/results as cLEAN®2-Star &/or Six Sigma Green Belt, required; certification in cLEAN® 3-Star &/or Six Sigma Black Belt, preferred
+ Demonstrated expertise in Six Sigma, cLEAN®, & change management, preferred
+ Demonstrated coaching, communication, change management, & leadership skills, preferred
+ Strong computer skills, including experience in MS Office, MS Project, AutoCAD, statistical analysis software, or other related software packages, preferred

Position Summary
Under the direction of the Shift Supervisor, Operations Manager (OM), and Director of Maintenance Services, Maintenance Ambassadors will provide maintenance services within the Clean & Safe’s 275 block service area of Downtown San Diego. Neighborhoods within this service area include Cortez Hill, Columbia, Marina, City Center, East Village, and the Gaslamp Quarter. Every Maintenance Ambassador is responsible for one of these neighborhoods, where they provide maintenance services and serve as the neighborhood’s liaison. Duties include sweeping, trash removal, doggy bag dispenser refill, tree trimming, pressure washing, graffiti, gum, and sticker removal.
Essential Job Functions & Duties 90%
- Remove graffiti and stickers on public property, such as stops signs, light poles, sidewalks, and utility boxes.
- Enhance street furniture and tree grates by cleaning, painting, and de-odorizing the surfaces.
- Sweep and mop sidewalks and curbs, including removing human and animal waste
- Lift heavy trash bags (up to 50 lbs.) and empty public trash receptacles
- Pick up any illegally dumped trash reported by businesses or property owners
- Perform landscape maintenance, which involves raking leaves and removing weeds
- Respond to maintenance calls from businesses and property owners
- Provide excellent customer service assistance with residents, business owners, tourists, and patrons
- Participate daily line-ups and safety readings/stretches for of maintenance personnel
- Conduct daily inspections of equipment before and after use
- Perform quality assurance duties as directed
- Compile daily statistics using Eponic work logs, recording completed work orders
- Complete quarterly training under the direction of Shift Supervisor

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for calibration, repair, troubleshooting, installation, and preventative maintenance of extruder dies, ensuring compliance with all safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete die clean activities as scheduled, including disassembly, cleaning, and reassembly of dies in the extruder.
- Inspect dies for damage or wear after production.
- Measure and monitor machinery performance, including voltage and currents on energized circuits (up to 480V AC).
- Operate machine shop equipment such as lathes, mills, and surface grinders.
- Maintain accurate and complete records on tooling and repair activities.
- Investigate the root cause of quality issues and participate in corrective actions.
- Perform proactive and reactive maintenance of equipment and calibrate instruments.
- Assist in spare parts inventory maintenance and order parts as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in Industrial Maintenance or Electronic Technology is preferred.
- 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
- Proven experience troubleshooting and repairing electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

- Frequent bending, stooping, stair climbing, and use of both hands for manual tasks.
- Requires standing/walking for 80% of the workday, and occasional sitting.
- Ability to work in a high-risk environment with exposure to chemical hazards, hot surfaces, or noise.
- The role is based in a blown film extrusion plant and an un-air-conditioned warehouse/shop.
- Overtime, weekend, and emergency call-back support may be required based on plant needs.
