The Role
PartnerHero is looking for compassionate and organized individuals with an interest in customer service/support to join our specialty Customer Support team based in the United States. In this role, you will either be assisting patients and providers with a variety of Benefits support topics including, but not limited to, billing and payment, explanation of benefits, and insurance verification, or Account Management support topics such as account access, payouts, contract questions, or credentialing inquiries. Support will be provided via email, chat, and phone, delivering helpful solutions to ensure all requesters have a great customer service experience.

What You’ll Do:
- Provide a high-standard of empathetic and solution-oriented support to clients and providers through email, chat, and phones
- Troubleshoot and address platform issues that patients and providers are experiencing
- Facilitate communication between clients and providers to arrange care, escalating sensitive issues when needed
- Collaborate with insurance agents and navigate carrier platforms to verify plan benefits and status
- Investigate, interpret and explain benefit details and out of pocket costs according to the client's plan
- Advocate for payers and clients by proactively surfacing friction in customer experience and proposing process/product iterations in service of the partner’s mission
- Navigate high-acuity interactions with empathy and/or positivity
- Operate with professionalism, navigating client and provider requests in accordance with the Compliance and Professionalism guidelines issued by PartnerHero and the partner organization
- Perform project duties and tasks that are within your skill and expertise level for your role as assigned by program management

+ This person will be required to answer calls quickly and assist customers with their needs.
+ These customers will be calling about insurance questions, what products they are eligible for, what costs will look like, etc.
+ Someone with Medical / Insurance customer service experience would be a perfect fit, but it is not necessary.
+ Hours are 8:30 to 5pm and 830-430pm on Fridays.
Daily Job Duties:
+ Will coordinate the schedule for the clinical staff.
+ Will verify insurance information and obtain the necessary authorizations and referral forms.
+ Will process the orders in the computer system along with maintaining a current status on orders to be processed.
+ File customer orders.
+ Will discharge patients promptly and courteously and file medical records.
+ Will prep all doc's for imaging as well.
+ Keep in mind that patients are of all ages and this location specializes in Prosthetic, Orthopedics and Mastectomies.
+ They do have scheduled appointments but a lot of walk ins. Average, 30 per day.
+ 50/50 phone work, answering, scheduling, verification, ordering, VS clerical duties.

Must haves for long term opening:
- Smiley, Friendly, bubbly, extrovert.

- Ability to provide customer service to patents and make them feel welcomed.
- Ability to have a thick skin due to some of the conversations being difficult or with people that are generally unhappy.
- Ability to learn the software system so basic computer skills are in order.
- Reliable and solid attendance.
Nice to Haves:
- Medical or Insurance verification customer service experience. Big Plus!
- Anyone who has worked in the DME industry would be great.
- Face to Face customer service experience is a BIG plus because that can be harder to handle compared to over the phone.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
