**Summary:**
The Analyst will support the research, clinical, quality improvement, and business data analysis needs of Rush University Medical Center. The Analyst will assist clinical faculty and Principal Investigators to identify and gather necessary data that span operational through research needs and will build databases to permit queries. The analyst will have a direct reporting relationship to the Knowledge Management Team, Medical Director, and Chief Analytics Officer, who are the subject matter experts in data access and research data requests. **Required Job Qualifications:**
- Master's degree in information science, computer science, epidemiology, biostatistics, or equivalent technical experience.

**Responsibilities:**
- Gather business/data requirements from clinical faculty and Principal Investigators and collaborate on the best way to design studies or to build study cohorts based on the Analyst's knowledge of available systems. Acts as interface between clinical experts and IT to determine feasibility, timelines, and cost of date requests.
- Uses third party software tools and research data warehouse in development of queries and visualizations. Creates research data marts using the enterprise IT architecture.
- Serves as representative for the KM Team on committees and initiatives that involve multi-site studies to facilitate IT and research informatics collaborations.
- Participates in analytics-based projects that leverage data collected from electronic medical records to measure and predict patient outcomes.
- Works with statisticians and mathematicians to design predictive models using statistical and machine learning methods that will predict patient outcomes.
- Develops analytic data sets for research and operations and uses statistical software (SAS or R) to analyze data sets as requested by departmental faculty.
- Produces reports that facilitate evidence-based clinical and financial decisions.
- Works with CRIO/CMIO/Knowledge Management team to develop new data queries and toolsets.

Compensation and Benefits:
The expected base salary range for this position is $90,000 - $130,000 annually. Actual compensation will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to a candidate's qualifications, experience, and skills.

Responsibilities include coordination of timelines and resources required to maintain a variety of clinical systems as well as coordinating all aspects of the development and management of clinical study databases across a variety of platforms.  Coordination of activities will require the individual to leverage productive relationships with colleagues across the MD sector.  

You will:
  • Work with Data Management leadership to define and document data and process standards
  • Create system deliverables for clinical trials
  • Support the development and maintenance of global harmonized processes and procedures for system support
  • Support vendor evaluation and selection for clinical systems (as needed)
  • Work with BSDM partners, and leadership in Clinical Operations and Franchise to execute project management plans for trial execution including timelines and milestones for study-specific systems set-up, UAT, maintenance and closeout as required
  • Lead project management activity related to the change control of Interactive Voice/Web Response Systems (IxRS), Electronic Data Capture (EDC) Systems, CTMS, eTMF and other relevant systems for assigned studies
  • Create, review and facilitate the approval system deliverables,
  • Interface between Clinical R&D, IT and Quality including CSV regarding clinical systems, UAT, processes and other tools (as needed)
  • Identify and escalate support requests associated with clinical systems
  • Identify and escalate support requests for assigned clinical studies. Systems may include: CTMS, eTMF, IxRS, EDCs
  • Assist with the implementation of system and study metrics
  • Assist with the analyses and documentation of moderately complex change requests to determine feasibility for incorporation
  • Escalates the review of vendor releases that address issues with current impacts
  • Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level
  • Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Performs other duties assigned as needed

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Statistics, Computer Science or related discipline (required), with at least 4 years of system support in clinical research within Medical Device or Pharmaceuticals
  • Experience with at least one clinical system (Rave EDC, CTMS, or eTMF ) is preferred
  • Previous experience in Clinical Operations preferred
  • Medidata Rave EDC Developer Certification preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment to deliver critical milestones
  • Experience with CDISC STDM preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of GCP and SDLC

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :

$89,000-$140,000

The part-time Helpdesk Data Analyst will oversee the analytics help desk and related activities. The position will manage incoming requests, run requested reports, filter data, make report edits and enhancements and provide technical advice. This position will assist with maintenance and enhancement projects related to organization-wide data, reports, and systems. They will partner with stakeholders to analyze data and explore ways to increase efficiency, reduce parallel processes, grow end user tool adoption, expand access to cross-functional data, and improve the ability of our stakeholders to make data-driven decisions. As part of the quality improvement team, the helpdesk data analyst will collaborate with health center leadership and users to identify opportunities for efficiencies and improved health outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • This is a dual role, overseeing the analytics helpdesk and working in healthcare data analytics.
  • Monitor analytics helpdesk, field questions and complete analytics requests with excellent customer service and communication.
  • Quickly learn tools, processes and workflows while being responsive to stakeholders needs.
  • Use Software to retrieve and combine data in various reporting tools and perform data analysis.
  • Continuous review of existing reports for accuracy.
  • Identify, assess, and troubleshoot reporting issues. Communicate and escalate to vendors as necessary.
  • Collaborate with clinical data analyst on projects.
  • Assist population health team with projects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School graduate.
  • One year of relevant work experience.
  • Solid experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Ability to prioritize assigned tasks and responsibilities with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to demonstrate deadline and detail-oriented project and ticket completion.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks. Must be organized and a self-starter.
  • Ability to work independently and to use good judgment.

  • Knowledge of OCHIN EPIC reporting suite, Power BI, Tableau and SQL database systems.
  • FQHC reporting/regulation standards (i.e., UDS, ACO, PCPCH, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Federally Qualified Health Centers
Physical Demands Required to Fulfill Essential Functions of this Position

The primary role of the Data Analyst is to support thru analytics, problem solving and reporting. This position is responsible for ongoing analysis of health care information, obtained from a variety of sources including patient care, financial and demographic data. Performs data analysis in support of department and the AH facilities.
Maintain familiarity with clinical issues and events affecting department
Provide department and AH facilities with accurate and appropriate interpretation of data
Takes responsibility for assignment completion and presentation in accordance with set timelines, including consistent follow through and communication to supervisor of any outstanding issues
Displays proactive problem-solving independently and in collaboration with team members
Provide support and training on data collection or reporting tools as needed in order to serve the analytic needs of the AH facilities and department.
Responsible for exceptional customer service by promoting an image of a professional high quality organization through expertise and responsiveness.
Perform other duties as needed to support the ongoing operations

Bachelors in Information Systems, nursing or related health field or 5 years equivalent experience
