The Director of Clinical Education Operations, under the direction of the Sr. Director of Clinical Education, is responsible for the enterprise-wide strategic oversight, coordination, and operational management of clinical education. This role ensures that all orientation, competency, and continuing education programs are delivered efficiently, comply with regulatory and accreditation requirements, and are aligned with systemwide goals for quality, safety, and workforce development.
Serving as a key liaison between the corporate clinical education team and hospital-based educators, the Director uses data to guide standardization, consistency, and innovation in education delivery. The position partners closely with facility educators, clinical operations leaders, and corporate stakeholders to monitor outcomes, optimize resources, and ensure scalable, efficient, and compliant education programs.

**Job Functions:**
+ Partner with the Senior Director of Clinical Education to develop, implement, and maintain standardized operational processes and workflows for the delivery, tracking, and evaluation of clinical education programs, ensuring alignment with systemwide strategic goals and organizational mission, values, and priorities.
+ Establish and maintain consistent structures for orientation, competency validation, and continuing education across all facilities, focusing on operational efficiency and scalability.
+ Partner with the Director of Clinical Education & Development to ensure operational processes support the effective implementation of enterprise curricula and educational initiatives.
+ Create and manage enterprise reporting mechanisms to monitor program delivery, participation, and outcomes, enabling data-driven decision-making.
+ Lead enterprise-wide initiatives to improve the efficiency, consistency, and compliance of education operations across the health system.
+ Partner with Advanced Learning Center (ALC) leadership to ensure seamless program deployment and reporting through the ALC platform.
+ Collaborate with quality, safety, compliance, regulatory, informatics, HR, and other key stakeholders to operationalize education initiatives that address identified needs, ensuring programs are delivered consistently and effectively across the enterprise.
+ Rapidly adapt education programs to reflect new clinical practices, technologies, or regulatory changes.
+ Monitor and assess program effectiveness using performance metrics, learner feedback, and outcome data, driving continuous quality improvement.
+ Streamline training processes, eliminate duplication, and leverage shared resources and best practices to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
+ Support workforce development efforts that improve employee satisfaction, retention, and engagement, contributing to better patient outcomes.
+ Serve as the enterprise communication link between corporate clinical education leadership and hospital education teams.
+ Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to hospital-based clinical educators, fostering professional growth, knowledge sharing, and a culture of lifelong learning.
+ Ensure bidirectional communication of system priorities, policies, and outcomes, aligning local initiatives with enterprise objectives.

**Essential Functions**
+ Act as the enterprise operational leader for clinical education, accountable for the effective, standardized, and compliant delivery of all clinical education programs.
+ Translate enterprise strategy into clear, actionable workflows for hospital educators and facility leaders.
+ Use data and performance metrics to inform decision-making, close knowledge and skill gaps, and measure success against system goals.
+ Partner with Quality to maintain audit and survey readiness by ensuring documentation and processes meet regulatory standards.
+ Partner with the Director of Clinical Education & Development to align operational processes with education content and delivery methods.

**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's degree in nursing Required
+ Master's Degree Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Education, or a related field within 12 months of hire. Required
+ Doctorate Degree Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) or other terminal degree preferred.
+ 5-7 years Experience in clinical education or nursing leadership Required
+ 2-5 years Demonstrated success leading large-scale education operations, with
measurable improvements in clinical outcomes and workforce performance. Preferred
**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**
+ Expertise in regulatory and accreditation standards (TJC, CMS, state boards) and their application to clinical education.

**Job Summary and Qualifications**
The Director of Clinical Education Programs is responsible for the collaborative development, management, and delivery/execution of clinical education programs for HCA's Clinical Education Service Line. The Director of Clinical Education Programs assumes accountability for the educational aspects of orientation, onboarding of clinical employees, competency management, clinical professional development, and the development of education, including inter-professional collaboration. The Director of Clinical Education Programs facilitates work across workgroups, interacting with various stakeholders to ensure all course material is developed and implemented using HCA's Clinical Education Service Line education standards.

+ Cultivates a superior clinical identity by identifying and implementing evidence-based practices to advance patient safety and quality outcomes. Ensures adherence to standards of care.
