  • Must possess an Associates of Applied Science Degree from an approved collegiate or hospital based Radiologic Technology or Therapy Program and be A.R.R.T. certified. MRI certification required.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must have at least 2 years of MRI experience and have adequate on-the-job training on maintenance of equipment.
  • Able to identify or detect and correct any mechanical or electrical equipment malfunctions or, if unable to do so, able to contact proper resource for repair.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must be able to sit and utilize a computer for extended periods of time.

A Brief Overview:

  • Assists technologist in providing efficient patient service; assists with patient and room preparation for examinations; ensures that necessary supplies are available; greets patients and escorts them to examination room; transport patients to and from other hospital departments as needed.   • Prepares patient examination films for the physician and/or technologists review; labels films with patient's name and film number; prepares new patient folder or locates existing patient folders in the Radiology File Room; delivers films to on site radiologist for reading.

  • Performs processing duties, i.e., maintains laser /camera film processor supplies; assists in developing duplicate images for physician and patient request.
  • Provides messenger and other miscellaneous services as required by the facilitator/technologist; obtains supplies from sterile processing or central supply as needed; transports patient specimens to the laboratory, etc.
  • Adheres to all Northwest Community Hospital standards, policies, and procedures.
What you will need:
  • The level of knowledge normally obtained through the completion of four years of high school.
  • Minimum of six months experience working with the public; some medical background preferred.
  • Obtains and maintains CPR certification through the American Heart Association within three months of hire.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology is desired at time of hire; must complete medical terminology course within first year in position if not completed prior to hire.

**What you will do**

In this vital role you will help coordinate and lead the application of different imaging strategies to support our portfolio of innovative obesity, inflammation, cardiovascular and rare disease drug candidates. You will be expected to work with cross functional teams to design, execute and analyze imaging studies.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Expand Amgen's end to end imaging process to all non-oncology TAs and integrate into wider clinical development procedures. Initial focus would be on obesity, inflammation and rare diseases.
+ Representing clinical imaging on process improvement initiatives
+ Standardize internal document templates and imaging vendor documentation (Charter, site manuals etc.) for common imaging readouts. Establish new procedures and documentations for novel or updated imaging procedures/criteria.
+ Serve as a SME while supporting strategic sourcing and vendor management teams in vendor capability/quality evaluations.
+ Develop training materials for imaging methods and endpoints to educate team members on expected/appropriate imaging strategies in clinical trials.
+ Work closely with precision medicine, statistics, clinical development, regulatory and clinical operation leads to formulate appropriate imaging biomarker strategies
+ Lead, design and implement multi-modality imaging measures as endpoints for clinical studies in a variety of TAs.
+ Contribute to clinical biomarkers and diagnostics strategy by evaluating novel imaging modalities, novel image analysis tools and artificial intelligence tools.

+ Experience is utilization of imaging in obesity and rare diseases is preferred.

Imaging Clinical Supervisor Job Responsibilities:
  • Assists in the development, review, and implementation of policies and procedures, including but not limited to quality assurance/control programs.
  • Resolves physician complaints regarding clinical performance.
  • Demonstrates excellent triage of patients.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of radiation safety and protection principles.
  • Demonstrates creativity in section operational skills, decision-making skills, and contingency planning preparation.
  • Initiates and manages various projects with a high degree of accuracy and timeliness.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Certification - Basic Life Support upon start; American Registered Radiologic Technologists Upon Start - Must be certified by at least one of the following: American Registered Radiologic Technologists or American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography or CNT or Cardiovascular Technology or Nuclear Medicine Technology or Registered Vascular Technology or Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists; as applicable with additional certification in an applicable imaging modality required. Certification in Computed Technology or Mammography required within 12 months of hire. Certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging required within 18 month of hire.
  • Licensure - Licensed Radiologic Technologist Upon Start State Licensure required for all INOVA non-Hospital Licensed centers, but not required if working onsite at an Inova Hospital and/or for Nuclear Medicine.
  • Experience - Three years of imaging experience in a hospital/healthcare environment with experience in an applicable imaging modality.
  • Education - Associate's Degree in Radiological Sciences or Graduate of an accredited school/program of Radiology or Nuclear Medicine with a valid certification.
