We're seeking an Internal Travel Medsurg / Acute Clinical Instructor serves pre-licensure nursing students by providing clinical instruction, acting as a preceptor, and being a resource for colleagues. We're seeking an Internal Travel Medsurg / Acute Clinical Instructor serves pre-licensure nursing students by providing clinical instruction, acting as a preceptor, and being a resource for colleagues. They advocate strongly for patients and families. Recognized as a clinical expert and role model, the instructor applies the nursing process and evidence-based practices to meet the complex care needs of specific patient populations.
The responsibility for the Internal Travel Medsurg / Clinical Instructor includes, but are not limited to, the following:
- Provide instruction, supervision, and evaluation of pre-licensure nursing students in various settings including clinical, lab, and simulation environments.
- Deliver educational experiences in collaboration with nursing faculty and leadership based on approved course syllabi, objectives, outlines, and assignments.
- Supervise and evaluate groups of pre-licensure nursing students in clinical, lab, and simulation settings.
- Coordinate with clinicians at clinical sites to deliver and evaluate clinical education experiences.
- Meet regularly with students to provide academic feedback and facilitate post-conferences following clinical experiences.
- Maintain student records
- Serve as a resource person for nursing students, physicians, nurses, patients, and family members. - Apply principles of adult learning to plan and conduct educational sessions promoting professional development, student competence, and positive patient/family outcomes.
- Model expert communication skills and time management through example. Ensure compliance with stated policies and procedures and remain informed of innovative clinical trends through benchmarking and evidence-based practice.
- Demonstrate proficiency in teaching and precepting skills while applying adult learning theories. Facilitate knowledge development in pre-licensure nursing students, including effective delegation and clinical skills.
