Job Summary: The Clinical Lab Assistant is responsible for assisting laboratory staff in routine moderate complexity testing used to diagnose and treat disease.

Here's what you'll do when you join us:

• Obtain lab specimens and place lab orders.
• Process all specimen types to prepare for testing.

Assesses all specimens for appropriate labeling, specimen type and shipping conditions.

Calibrates and performs routine maintenance on laboratory equipment and instrumentation according to laboratory protocols.

Communicates information with internal and external customers as appropriate in an accurate, timely, effective and professional manner.

Competently performs all required functions in laboratory information software systems.

Maintain laboratory supply inventory, notifying appropriate laboratory staff when supplies are below established par levels.
