Responsibilities

  • Deliver family-centered care guided by CHOP's Nursing Professional Practice Model.

Overview

The Program of Nursing Assistant Training and Competency Evaluation Program (NATCEP) is hiring a Clinical Instructor.

Responsibilities
  • Cooperates with the Program Coordinator and/or Primary Instructor in scheduling clinical experiences for students.
  • Supervises small groups of no more than 12 nursing assistant students who are paired I:I with facility CNA's in the clinical setting. Administration of each clinical site will dictate the number of students.
  • Remains on premises and available to students at all times.
  • Has no facility-related responsibilities.
  • Actively seeks opportunities for students to perform learned skills.
  • Provides guidance and constructive feedback to students.
  • Maintains student rolls, including a sign in-and-out sheet with exact time of arrival and departure.

    • Completion of UNAR Instructor approval packet
    • Licensed nurse in good standing with the Utah Department of Professional Licensure

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and assess patients during the pre and post operative phases, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Establish IV access for all applicable patients.
  • Collaborate with the medical team to customize and adjust treatment plans based on patient responses.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, documenting preoperative IV details and patient progress.
  • Educate patients on the purpose, process, and potential side effects of therapies.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
Qualifications:
  • Valid LPN or RN license in Alabama.
  • Previous experience in pain management or related healthcare field preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
