What you will do in this role: 

• Responsible for oversight and supervision of the Clinical Dietitians and Medical Nutrition Therapy program. 
• Responsible for interviewing, hiring, evaluations, and employee rounding as well as participating in the disciplinary process of all Clinical Nutrition team members. 
• Responsible for Clinical Dietitian schedules and for monitoring employee attendance for timeliness, accrual of incremental overtime utilizing KRONOS on a daily basis. 
• Serves as the FNS liaison for all shared governance councils and other committees as assigned. May assign Clinical Dietitians to assist with representation on committees as needed. 
• Develops nutrition care guidelines and ensures adherence to the nutrition care manual, department/facility guidelines and/or protocols to provide evidence-based nutrition care. 
• Trains and mentors' new staff and/or dietetic interns to ensure consistent training of staff on policies and procedures. 

What qualifications you will need: 

• Bachelor's degree in nutrition or Dietetics required 
• Master's degree in nutrition or a closely related field preferred 
• Minimum of three- five years supervisory/management experience required 
• Minimum of five years of hospital clinical nutrition experience required

Sodexo is seeking a Registered Dietitian for a **Clinical Nutrition Manager** position at Huntington Hospital, a 620-bed acute hospital located in Pasadena **,** CA.

**What You'll Do**
**Reporting to the General Manager, in this role you will:**
+ Be responsible for managing the Clinical Nutrition program, inpatient and outpatient
+ Supervise, train and mentor up to 17 Registered Dietitians and the diet office staff of 12; and oversee care of the general inpatient population
+ Serve in a leadership role on the Food and Nutrition Services team and assist in food service management as needed
+ Meet DOH/state/federal and company standards and;
+ Manage the dietetic interns

Minimum Education Requirement:
Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24:
Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
Credentials Requirement:
Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire. In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire

**Responsibilities**
Provide medical nutrition therapy and evaluates effectiveness of treatments.
+ Assess patients for nutritional status.
+ Provide interventions/treatments including diet therapy, counseling or specialized nutrition supplements.
+ Collaborate with physicians, nursing, and ancillary services such as speech pathology or physical therapy.
+ Monitor tolerance and effectiveness of nutritional regimen and recommends therapy adjustments as necessary.
+ Provide medical nutrition therapy and evaluates effectiveness of treatments.
+ Provide nutrition information for the community that may include public speaking, news releases and other forms of publications.

**Requirements**
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
+ Dietitian/Nutritionist credentialed from the Florida Council of Dietetics and Nutrition obtainedprior to hire date or job transfer date required.
+ Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
+ BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
