Cloud Development Engineer III
Location: Atlanta, GA; Richmond, VA; Indianapolis, IN; Mason, OH; Grand Prairie, TX (preferred). The Cloud Development Engineer III is responsible for the delivery of end-to-end system development and maintenance on complex technology systems within assigned client group, business unit, or corporate department. CFX is a mission critical system used by hundreds of applications on both CarelonRx and Elevance Health Cloud for exchanging the data in and out of AWS/GCP/Azure back to internal and external trading partners with Protegrity tokenization out of the box. CFX is custom built from scratch using lot of cloud native services and requires specialized skills to enhance and operate. This Elevance IP requires a deep understanding of programing, cloud, containers and related landscapes and is a large player in ensuring we have stability and responsiveness during AEP (Annual Enrollment Period) and 1:1 activities.
How you will make an impact:

Development on medium to large complex customer technology platforms or architectures.

Maintains active relationships with internal and/or external stakeholders to develop business requirements.

Analyzes and classifies complex change requests and identifies and documents possible system code enhancements.

Demonstrates knowledge of industry trends, our products, and infrastructure.

Collaborates with engineers and graphic designers, analyzes and classifies complex change requests, and reviews and evaluates possible enhancements.

Works with the development team to develop and define application scope and objectives and prepare functional and/or technical specifications.

Analyzes and evaluates detailed business and technical requirements.

Understands the product and analytics and drives requirements that take into account stakeholder's needs.

Identifies problems/risks.

Codes and maintains complex components of information systems.

Mentors others on coding standards and performs code reviews.

Reviews test cases and advises QA on adjacent code/regression impact.

Minimum Requirements:
- Requires an BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study and a minimum of 3 years experience on one platform, multi database, multi language or multi business application; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:

Strong full stack development experience especially with Python, JavaScript, ReactJS, MongoDB and PostgreSQL.

Strong understand on serverless stack in AWS, GCP and Azure along with Terraform for IaC.

The **Cloud Development Engineer III** is responsible for the delivery of end-to-end system development and maintenance on complex technology systems within assigned client group, business unit, or corporate department. **Minimum Requirements:**

+ Strong full stack development experience especially with Python, JavaScript, ReactJS, MongoDB and PostgreSQL.
+ Strong understand on serverless stack in AWS, GCP and Azure along with Terraform for IaC.

**What We Look For in a Candidate**
-Proven expertise in AWS, Azure, and GCP with a focus on multi-cloud architecture
-Bachelors degree or equivalent education and experience.Typically 5-7 years related experience and 2+ years previous manager level leadership experience preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Ansible) and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub Actions)
-Strong background in cloud-native design, container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes), and observability (Prometheus, Grafana)
-Deep understanding of cloud security, compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO), and cost governance
-Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Go, Java)
-Experience with cloud networking and hybrid connectivity
-Knowledge of multiple public cloud providers' well-architected frameworks
-CSP certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Professional Cloud Architect) preferred
**Compensation**
This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

$129,639 - $72,852 in these states: AL, AR, AZ, FL, GA, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, ME, MO, MS, MT, ND, NE, NM, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, UT, VT, WI, WV, and WY.
136,121 - 181,494 in these states: CO, HI, MI, MN, NC, NH, NV, OR, and RI.
142,603 - 190,137 in these states: AK, CA, CT, DC, DE, IL, MA, MD, NJ, NY, TX, VA, and WA.
