Role Description

This role is responsible for development of microservices, automate infrastructure provisioning and orchestration in public cloud. The ideal candidate has experience in professional software development, designing and creating highly available cloud systems, and can implement cloud strategy. Advanced industry knowledge is key, as well as knowledge in building an engineering organization. The role requires a talented technologist with experience engaging with application developers throughout the full development life-cycle – from inception and design to deployment, operation, and iterative development.
Responsibilities:
Automate foundational infrastructure for public cloud (Accounts, Network, Compute)
Deliver the tooling and capabilities needed to enable our cloud first strategy
Provide developer-friendly cloud onboarding, account creation and management for supported cloud providers
Ensure compliance to regulations and policy by implementing accurate requirements traceability

Qualifications:
7+ years of relevant experience in Cloud Technologies and Public cloud native services(AWS/GCP)such as Landing Zone/Control Tower, EKS, Step Functions etc.
5 years in cloud engineering with deep Terraform and GCP/AWS knowledge.
Experience with IaC deployment tools and languages (Terraform)
Strong in Python , Go is a plus (for custom tooling/controllers).
Passion for automation, clean code/DRY, and solving complex problems .
Bias for action, innovation, and continuous learning
Experience with CI/CD build pipelines and toolchain (e.g. Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Harness, Tekton, Maven, Artifactory, Jira)

Job Objective
As a Cloud Engineering Manager, you will oversee the planning, delivery, and optimization of cloud services for our clients, ensuring high-quality service, timely execution, and continuous improvement in cloud environments. Technical Leadership:

Drive the design and implementation of cloud infrastructure solutions on AWS, ensuring adherence to industry best practices, security policies, and governance standards.

Oversee the integration of DevOps tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Jenkins, Docker, etc.) to optimize cloud environments and improve infrastructure management through CI/CD practices.

Ensure the successful deployment, management, and troubleshooting of cloud environments, focusing on high availability and minimal downtime.
Resource & Team Management:

Supervise and mentor cross-functional teams, ensuring collaboration between development, operations, and other relevant teams to design, build, and manage scalable, resilient cloud infrastructure on AWS.

Allocate resources effectively across multiple projects, ensuring the optimal use of skills and expertise to meet project demands and deliverables.

Foster a culture of learning and growth, encouraging continuous skill development and the adoption of best practices across the team.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement:

Work closely with clients to understand their business requirements and translate those into technical solutions, defining project roadmaps, and ensuring client satisfaction.

Act as the main point of contact for cloud-related escalations, providing expert-level support and guidance to both clients and internal teams.

Provide regular status updates to stakeholders, ensuring transparent communication regarding project progress, risks, and mitigation strategies.
Continuous Improvement & Innovation:

Promote operational best practices and focus on continuous improvement to optimize service delivery and cloud infrastructure performance.

Stay up to date with the latest cloud technologies, trends, and tools to drive innovation and introduce cutting-edge solutions to enhance cloud service delivery.

Continuously assess and refine processes to increase efficiency and improve overall project and service delivery outcomes.
Requirements

8+ years of professional experience in cloud service delivery, with at least 4 years in leadership or managerial roles. Proven experience managing complex cloud environments, primarily within AWS.

In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience within the AWS ecosystem, including experience with MAP (Migration and Modernization Acceleration Program)

Experience in handling managed services for AWS cloud-based environments, including service monitoring, incident response, performance optimization, and ensuring service-level agreements (SLAs) are met.

Demonstrated ability to manage and optimize ongoing cloud service operations, including proactive issue resolution and resource planning.
-
Proficient in cloud- technologies, such as Kubernetes, containers, microservices, serverless, DevSecOps, CI/CD, etc.

Proven expertise in DevOps and CI/CD tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Jenkins, GitLab, CircleCI, or similar. Hands-on experience with automating cloud infrastructure and promoting infrastructure as code practices.

Prior experience in software development with Golang, Terraform, CloudFormation, Python, ideally with additional experience with Java (or any object-oriented ), React (or any front-end facing ).
