What You'll Do
- Become a member of a highly-collaborative engineering team offering a unique blend of Cloud Infrastructure Administration, Site Reliability Engineering, Security Operations, and Vulnerability Management.
- Coordinate with Client product teams, engineering team members, and other stakeholders to monitor and maintain a secure and resilient cloud-hosted infrastructure to established SLAs in both production and non-production environments.
- Execute against standard operating procedures, operational runbooks, technical documents, and troubleshooting guidelines across various toolsets and Client environments.

Salary Range

The successful candidate is expected to work in one of our offices 3 days per week and also be available for travel as required.
The annual base salary range posted represents a broad range of salaries around the U.S. and is subject to many factors including but not limited to credentials, education, experience, geographic location, job responsibilities, performance, skills and/or training.

Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Cloud & Infrastructure Architect to lead the design, governance, and implementation of enterprise-grade cloud platforms and infrastructure modernization initiatives. This role is pivotal in driving IT platform enablement and ensuring scalable, secure, and resilient infrastructure solutions across the organization.
The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in multi-cloud and hybrid environments, with a strong command of infrastructure architecture, networking, identity and access management (IAM), and platform governance. Success in this role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including application development, data architecture, and platform engineering, to deliver integrated and future-ready technology solutions.
This position offers the flexibility of a hybrid schedule with the expectation of 3 days per week in our Chicago office, and 2 days remote from home.
Key Responsibilities:
Cloud Platform & Identity Architecture
+ Serve as Tenant Architect and Administrator Microsoft Platforms (Power Platform, Fabric, Purview, M365, Azure, and Environment Administrator), Oracle OCI, integration with these across other SaaS and ERP solutions.
+ Coordinate with vendors and key stakeholders to track financial assessments and project proposals for S&L Technologies, ensuring alignment with S&L's business requirements and strategic goals.
+ Lead the Okta to Entra ID migration, including conditional access policy design, MFA enforcement, and identity lifecycle management.
+ Provide guidance Application/Data Architects and Technical owners on the Cloud, Hybrid Infrastructure, and Platforms for their workloads.
+ Assess workload migration to Oracle OCI, document implementation plan for S&L Infrastructure team.
Cloud Governance & Multi-Cloud Standards
+ Define and implement Azure subscription and resource governance, including naming conventions, tagging strategies, RBAC, policy enforcement, and cost management. Work with Governance body for governance policy and implementation.
+ Document and align cloud architecture standards across Azure, AWS, Oracle OCI, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to ensure consistency and compliance as workloads are created on these platforms.
+ Establish and maintain landing zones, management groups, and blueprints for secure and scalable cloud adoption.
Data Platform Enablement
+ Collaborate with Data Architects to define standards and implement architectures for Databricks, Snowflake, Informatica, and other data platforms.
+ Ensure secure data access, integration pipelines, and platform scalability for analytics and AI/ML workloads.
+ Support data governance, lineage, and metadata management initiatives.
Infrastructure Modernization
+ Lead re-platforming efforts from On-Prem or other cloud-native workloads to centralized solutions.
+ Design hybrid infrastructure strategies that support legacy workloads while enabling cloud-native transformation.
+ Evaluate and implement automation using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Bicep, and Ansible.
Qualifications

+ Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure, including Azure AD/Entra ID, AVD, and governance frameworks.

What You'll Do
- Become a member of a highly collaborative engineering team offering a unique blend of Cloud Infrastructure Administration, Site Reliability Engineering, Security Operations, and Vulnerability Management.
- Coordinate with client product teams, engineering team members, and other stakeholders to monitor and maintain a secure and resilient cloud-hosted infrastructure to established SLAs in both production and non-production environments.
