WHAT YOU'LL DO

We are seeking a Cloud Solutions Architect with passion and experience to join our Infrastructure and Cloud Hosting team. In this role, you will design and architect solutions on Azure that meet the business and technical needs of our clients. You will also collaborate with the development and operations teams to ensure the smooth delivery and deployment of the solutions. You will work closely with our transformation partners. Additionally, you will contribute to our Cloud Center of Excellence, where you will share your insights and best practices with other cloud experts and enthusiasts.
Responsibilities:

Design and architect cloud-native, scalable, secure, and cost-effective solutions on Azure using best practices and industry standards.

Job Title: Lead Application / Cloud Solutions Architect
Onsite Requirement : A couple of days onsite required and travel to different sites.
Job Summary: The Lead Application / Cloud Solutions Architect will be responsible for designing and leading the modernization of the client application suite. This includes full-stack application development, cloud architecture, responsive UI/UX, and the implementation of secure, scalable environments using industry-standard tools and practices. The role requires coordination across stakeholders to ensure technical excellence, business alignment, and client policy compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture and technical design of the modernized Chapter 683 system, including the administrator and applicant portals.
- Architect scalable, maintainable, and secure full-stack applications using .NET Core, Angular, and RESTful APIs.
- Design and oversee implementation of responsive web applications compatible with all modern browsers and mobile devices.
- Lead cloud strategy and implementation (preferably in Azure), including containerization, infrastructure-as-code, and automated deployment.
- Design CI/CD pipelines to support continuous delivery and integration across environments
- Collaborate with UI/UX teams to create accessible and user-friendly designs compliant with WCAG and Section 508 standards.
- Establish coding standards, architectural guidelines, and development best practices for the entire team.
- Interface with client's DevOps and security teams to ensure secure, reliable infrastructure.
- Provide mentoring and code review support for development teams.
Qualifications
- 8-10+ years of experience in software architecture and engineering, with a strong background in .NET and front-end frameworks.
- Demonstrated experience deploying secure, scalable applications in Azure or AWS environments.
- Deep understanding of cloud-native architecture, microservices, and application modernization.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.
- Strong knowledge of authentication and authorization frameworks (OAuth2, SSO, SAML).
- Familiarity with DOE or government compliance requirements is highly preferred.
Compensation and Benefits
The projected compensation range for this position is $160,700 to $192,200 per year benchmarked in the New York area. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Salary at LCG is determined by various factors, including but not limited to role, location, the combination of education/training, knowledge, skills, competencies, certifications, and work experience.

**What You Will Do:**
+ Architect and Design Scalable Databricks Solutions for enterprise data processing, analytics, machine learning, and business intelligence workloads.
+ Lead complex data modernization initiatives, including assessments, roadmap creation, and execution of legacy-to-cloud migrations (on-prem Hadoop, EDWs, etc.).
+ Define end-to-end architecture for ETL/ELT pipelines, data lakes, lakehouses, and real-time streaming platforms using Delta Lake and Databricks-native tools.

+ Develop and publish reference architectures, reusable frameworks, and accelerators to enable consistent platform adoption across teams.
+ Mentor engineering teams in best practices for data engineering, lakehouse design, performance tuning, and workload optimization in Databricks.
+ Stay current with evolving Databricks platform capabilities and contribute to internal Centers of Excellence and capability building.
+ Design and implement data governance, access control, secure data sharing strategies & data clean rooms using Unity Catalog and Delta Sharing to enable compliant, cross-platform collaboration across partners.
**What You Will Do:**
+ Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
+ 15+ years of data architecture experience, with at least 5+ years on the Databricks platform.
+ Strong expertise in Apache Spark, Delta Lake, Databricks SQL, Unity Catalog, and MLFlow.
+ Demonstrated experience in data migration projects (e.g., Teradata, Hadoop, Oracle to Databricks).
+ Proficient in Python, SQL, and Spark (PySpark), and hands-on experience with REST APIs and automation.
+ Solid understanding of modern data architectures (data lakehouse, streaming-first pipelines, real-time analytics).
+ Experience integrating Databricks with AWS/GCP/Azure, Snowflake, and enterprise tools (Informatica, dbt, Airflow, etc.).
