Duties Description The New York State Office of Information Technology Services (ITS) provides operational support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days of the year, supporting more than 4,900 applications for 53 New York State Agencies.
Under the direction of the Technology Analyst 2 (Cloud Solutions), the Technology Analyst 1 (Cloud Solutions) will be responsible for designing and overseeing the implementation of secure and efficient cloud-based IT systems to meet client agency business needs. The position will collaborate with business managers and IT professionals to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications, ensuring the successful execution of IT projects.
Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Assess the business and application requirements to integrate into a cloud environment.
• Design, configure, and maintain cloud systems and services.
• Monitor and analyze the performance of cloud services.
• Resolve technical issues related to cloud computing environment.
• Assist in the development of cloud management strategies.
• Implement and manage security controls, governance processes, and compliance validation.
• Collaborate with IT professionals to ensure cloud solutions are efficiently integrated and aligned with business objectives.
• Create reports and documentation related to cloud processes and system upgrades.
