The RoleAs CMM Programming Manager, you will own and elevate Hadrian's CMM programming functiondriving rigorous standards, automating inspection workflows, and delivering first-time-right programs that keep production moving fast while scaling seamlessly to future factories.
What You'll DoTeam Leadership & Development
- Hire, coach, and mentor CMM programmers, setting clear growth paths and performance expectations.

Production Delivery & Throughput
- Deliver first-time-right CMM programs at an aggressive cadence, ensuring inspection never stalls machining or assembly.
- Unblock remove roadblocks quickly and redistribute work when priorities shift, maintaining predictable turnaround times.
Standards & Quality Control
- Own programming, fixturing, and probe standards; ensure every program produces unambiguous, audit-ready results.
- Close feedback loops with QA Operations and technicians to eliminate program failures and inefficient setup processes.
Cross-Functional Partnership & Automation
- Work shoulder-to-shoulder with CAM Programming on production approach and Automation Engineering to translate best practices into software-driven tools.
- Provide clear, data-backed requirements that guide automation sprints and reduce manual effort.
Performance Ownership & Continuous Improvement
- Track and publish programming cycle time, first-time-right percentage, and standards adoption.
- Drive timely investigation, assign owners, and implement fixes immediately when metrics deviate.
Scalability & Future Factory Readiness
- Design processes and documentation that extend smoothly to additional Hadrian factories, including potential remote-programming models.
- Anticipate growth inflection points and plan headcount, tooling, and training needs ahead of demand.
- 5+ years in manufacturing, applications, or quality engineering or manufacturing operations leadership within high-mix, low-volume production.
- ? 1 year directly leading technical roles and owning throughput/quality metrics.
- Proven record of creating or refining process standards and delivering measurable efficiency or quality improvements.
- Comfortable collaborating with software/automation teams.

For this role, the target salary range is $12,000 - 156,000 (actual range may vary based on experience).

2. Performs ISIRs; verification of supplied materials, annual layout, and PPAP.
3. Assists and supports manufacturing/production personnel with various inspection activities.
4. Performs detailed analysis of parts to troubleshoot failure modes.
5. Performs first article inspection(s) of machined components.
6. Reads and interprets prints to inspect parts and offers suggestions to improve prints in terms of dimensions and tolerance specifications.

8. Completes capability studies with laboratory equipment.
9. Monitors capability statistics from CMM through QC Calc software package.

CMM Programmer Qualifications:

The Role
The CMM Programmer (PC-DMIS) will play a critical role in advancing Hadrians automated inspection capabilities. You will program and optimize PC-DMIS routines for highly complex prismatic parts for the aerospace and defense industries, ensuring precision and reliability in our New Product Integration (NPI) and production workflows.
Unlike traditional shops, the programs you create will run on fully automated CMM cells designed to operate lights-out. This means your work must incorporate robust programming practices and controls to ensure reliability. Youll also collaborate with our software automation teams, who have engineer layered controls to safeguard and standardize the programming approach.

What You'll Do
Create and optimize PC-DMIS programs for New Product Integration (NPI) work orders
Interpret and apply GD&T requirements from engineering drawings; identify and resolve discrepancies

What you need
? High School Diploma or equivalent required

? Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)

This is an onsite direct, full-time position with benefits. To be considered for this role, you will need to be skilled in CMM programming with PC-DMIS and/or Calypso. CMM Programmer job duties:
- Develop, refine, and optimize CMM programs using PC-DMIS or Calypso to support precision measurement operations.
- Execute comprehensive testing and troubleshooting for established CMM programs, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
- Update and edit CMM programs as needed to align with evolving production requirements and specifications.
- Utilize advanced 3D modeling tools, such as NX, to create models that facilitate offline CMM programming.
- Interpret technical drawings and manufacturing process sheets to accurately program CMM operations.
- Collaborate closely with inspection, manufacturing engineers, and shop floor personnel to ensure seamless production workflows.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated proficiency in PC-DMIS or Calypso CMM programming; certification or hands-on experience preferred.
- Familiarity with Hexagon or Zeiss CMM machines, with a preference for individuals with direct experience.
- Proficient in creating and working with 3D models, specifically using NX software.
- Adept at reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings and manufacturing process sheets.
- Strong grasp of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles and applications.
- Solid understanding of Quality Management Standards, including ISO 9001 and AS 9100.
