Job Description
This reporter will be responsible for writing about Wall Street analyst calls, big moves by big investors and financial market movements. The type of stories will include quick-hitting short stories on developments with macroeconomic factors, as well as how corporate earnings and other events are influencing markets. They will also be responsible for developing and writing multiple feature stories a year on big trends in investing and economics. Candidates must be self-motivated with a passion for writing about Wall Street, investing and markets. They must demonstrate knowledge of the big Wall Street investment banks, big investors and the trends transforming our world right now.
Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.

OVERVIEW
This key role leads the finance support for the core programming of CNBC, the world leader in business news. This role is responsible for building strategic partnerships with editorial leadership to address day to day priorities and to drive conversations on new ideas. There will be significant collaboration with HR and finance peers to build informed financial plans and to lead key initiatives. This role will report to the VP, News Programming Finance and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Plan and communicate the financial implications of programming-related decisions (e.g. schedule changes, staffing changes, alternate commercial formats)
+ Own all aspects of the financial processes - annual budgets, long-range strategic plans, and in-year financial estimates for both P&L and cash forecasts

CNBC, the world leader in business news, is seeking a Podcast Producer with exceptional storytelling skills and podcast production experience to support the day-to-day production and promotion of CNBC's flagship daily news podcasts and originals.
