About the Role: As a Surface Mining Equipment Operator, you will perform various tasks related to equipment operations. The Surface Mining Equipment Operator will work closely with supervisors and other team members to maintain a safe work environment while adhering to company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Push material with a bulldozer on steep slope stockpiles to manage stockpile size and push to feeders (ROM, Clean Coal, Train, and Barge Loadout Areas).
  • Move and/or load material on stockpiles, trucks, and feeder hoppers (ROM, Clean Coal, Train, and Barge Loadout Areas).
  • Bulldozers (D11 and smaller)
  • Frontend Loaders (WA600, WA500)
  • Load and unload materials on or from delivery trucks with a skid steer or telehandler forklift.
  • Operate either rigid frame or articulating dump trucks.
  • Set up, start, and maintain portable pumps, air compressors, generators, and light plants.
  • Run water trucks and keep dust in compliance on roadways and yards.
  • Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and troubleshooting of prep plant machinery.
