+ Application and development of innovative curing and drying technologies and solutions to improve manufacturing asset performance in our global sites
+ Provide material curing expertise to support manufacturing operations that produce a wide breadth of 3M products
+ Lead or support curing process development efforts to ensure successful development, scale-up, and launch of new products
+ Lead efforts or cross-functional projects to diagnose and resolve curing process variabilities and defects on manufacturing processes
+ Willingness to maintain flexible hours to support global manufacturing
**Your Skills and Expertise**
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution
+ Seven (7) years of manufacturing process experience in a private, public, government or military environment
+ Two (2) years of experience designing and integrating electronic and mechanical components into a manufacturing process
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
+ Advanced degree in a Mechanical, Electrical or Physics focused science or engineering discipline from an accredited university.
+ Expertise and familiarization with radiation curing processes and their impact on various material sets
+ Experience with fluid mechanics and thermodynamics fundamentals applied to manufacturing
+ Strong leadership, project management and influencing skills
**Work location:** This role has on-site working model, with the employee working at least four days a week in the office at 3M Center, located in Maplewood, MN.

Gpac is seeking an experienced Traveling Steel Industrial Coating Project Manager to oversee large-scale steel coating projects across the country. This is an exciting opportunity for a results-driven leader with a strong background in industrial coatings, structural steel, and project management.

Responsibilities:

• Manage multiple steel coating projects from start to finish, ensuring quality, safety, and on-time delivery.
• Oversee field operations, subcontractors, and crews to ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and reporting.

+ Apply coatings evenly using spray guns or hand brushes, ensuring proper stroke, spray pattern, and nozzle adjustment.
+ Apply decals and masking as needed to meet quality standards.
+ Position work manually or with jib/overhead cranes.
+ Maintain cleanliness of facilities and equipment after use.
**Required Qualifications**
+ 2+ years of industrial painting experience (prime and finish coats).
+ Previous paint experience in a manufacturing environment.
+ Ability to determine sequence of operations and follow standard work instructions.
+ Ability to apply coatings evenly using spray guns or hand brushes while maintaining correct stroke, spray pattern, nozzle adjustment, and air pressure.
+ Familiarity with operating shot blast equipment and positioning work manually or with jib/overhead cranes.
+ Knowledge of safety and inspection requirements in a paint environment.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Experience applying coatings on large components (frames, booms, cabs, etc.).
+ Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
