Responsibilities
- Mix drinks, cocktails, and other bar beverages as ordered and in compliance with company standards.
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge of food and beverage products.
- Guiding guests through the menus while demonstrating knowledge of food and beverage offerings.
- Handle assigned house bank and follow cash handling procedures.
- Suggesting items based on probing questions to understand what guests like or dislike
- Providing pleasant and timely service.
- Anticipating guest needs and ensuring they are set up for a smooth dining experience.
Requirements
- Must have ServSafe Alcohol certification prior to first day of work
- Positive attitude
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be able to work the hours dictated by the business and schedule set in place by the Manager; Weekend, evening, and holiday work may be necessary
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to follow regulations regarding age requirements for the purchase of alcohol
- Some locations require Pour Permits, depending on county

**What You'll Do**
Prepare and serve drinks for guests in a professional, courteous, and timely manner, all the while providing outstanding service to our guests along the way. You'll act as an advocate for the bar/restaurant, be a creator of ridiculously personal experiences, and develop relationships with guests that will compel them to return.
**Some of your responsibilities include:**
+ Greet and welcome our guests and promptly serve them food and beverages.
+ Pour drinks, using standard pour according to specifications, receive and process orders in the POS system with accuracy.
+ Serve food and drinks to guests, along with filling orders for the servers.
+ Notify a manager if a guest is becoming intoxicated or rude to other guests.
+ Fill and clean ice bins, clean and empty trash cans, change kegs, stock beer and wine coolers.
+ Clean shelving, stainless steel, mixers, cups, blenders, and soda guns.
+ Follow uniform and grooming specifications.
+ Maintain cooperative communication with support crew and management.
+ Unpack deliveries and stock the bar.
+ We all wear multiple hats here at Kimpton. You may need to take on responsibilities outside of this job post at times, as we all do.
**What You Bring**
+ 1 year of bartending experience is preferred.
+ Passion for crafting and personalizing guest experiences.
+ Excellent wine and spirits knowledge, great communication and presentation skills.
+ Knowledgeable of credit card and cash handling procedures, as well as recording accurate tip-out sheets, and calculating accurate bill amounts.
+ Food Handler and Alcohol Serving Certifications (if applicable).

**What You'll Do**
As a part of the in-room dining team, you'll be responsible for delivering orders accurately and in a timely manner. Make sure dishes move from kitchen to rooms in a coordinated and smooth manner. Ensure products are fresh and meet quality standards and follow the hotel's standards of service etiquette.
**Some of your responsibilities include:**
+ Be familiar with the proper use of room service carts, ticketing, and cash handling.
+ Review orders as they arrive and properly prepare the correct amount of silver, linens, and vases.
+ Check orders for presentation and completeness, cover and place in cart for delivery, with water and beverage added last.
+ Prepare and set up the dining area according to guest preferences.
+ Ensure the meal completion time is monitored; if meal delivery will be beyond 5 minutes of estimated times, guest is contacted, offered apologies and advised of new time.
+ Present guest check for signature; guest is thanked by name and asked to call when they would like the service removed. The guest check is turned into room service cashier afterwards.
+ Maintain work stations that are cleaned, stocked and organized.
+ Fill and clean salt and pepper shakers, clean spills, broken glass and debris promptly after incidents.
+ Pick up trays en route back to station and during slow periods.
+ Deposit dishes appropriately in the dish-room or specified area.

**What You Bring**
+ You've got customer service experience within the hospitality industry.
+ You're an excellent communicator with phenomenal presentation skills.
+ You have adequate knowledge of food quality standards, food and wine presentation.
+ You are a highly motivated and flexible individual, with the ability to take initiative.
+ You have a flexible schedule, able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when needed.
