Thyssenkrupp is hiring a Local Truck Driver for Smithfield, RI. This position requires transporting materials to our Dedicated Customer Accounts. Monday through Friday with weekends off!

Job Responsibilities:

• Verify that correct items are loaded for delivery.
• Perform periodic inspections before, during, and after delivery to ensure that load is properly fastened down and is secure.
• Assist in loading and unloading of trucks. Ensure truck is properly secured and not overweight.

As a Treater Truck/Delivery Driver at Jacam Catalyst, you will play a vital role in delivering hazardous chemicals and treating oilfield wells according to customer specifications. Safety and responsible equipment maintenance are paramount in this role.

Essential Functions:

• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections of company vehicle and equipment
• Schedule daily routes for treating customers’ wells
• Treats oil and gas wells to prevent corrosion, paraffin scale, foaming, emulsions, etc.

This full-time position offers a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and timely delivery of goods to a diverse range of commercial clients across the Austin metropolitan area and surrounding regions. Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a commercial vehicle (e.g., box trucks, cargo vans) for the delivery and pickup of goods.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
• Plan and optimize delivery routes to ensure timely and efficient service, utilizing GPS and routing software.
• Load and unload cargo carefully, ensuring proper securing to prevent damage during transit.
• Verify contents of shipments against shipping documents, noting any discrepancies or damages.
• Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, interacting professionally with clients.
• Obtain signatures and process necessary paperwork for deliveries and pickups.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any maintenance issues or defects promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness of the vehicle and ensure it is fueled and ready for daily operations.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding delivery status, delays, or issues encountered on the road.
• Handle cash or electronic payments for deliveries if required, and accurately reconcile daily transactions.
• Represent the company professionally at all times while on the road and at client locations.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Class C (or higher, depending on vehicle type) Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
• Familiarity with Austin, Texas , and surrounding areas is a significant advantage.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy objects (up to 50-75 lbs) regularly and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Proficiency with GPS devices and navigation applications.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices.
• Ability to work independently and manage daily routes efficiently.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

**Main Ingredients of the Job**
As a **US FOODS®** Delivery Driver, you will be critical to the **US FOODS®** team and one of the important faces of our organization. As a Delivery Driver, you will have an impact on our customers by delivering our meats, produce, frozen goods, groceries, dry goods, equipment, and supplies to their drop-off sites. Your efforts are the foundation that defines **US FOODS®** success based on our pillars of cultural beliefs, work ethic, collaborative spirit, and service.
+ Deliver best-in-class Customer Service.
+ Deliver customers' orders to meet scheduled delivery times and keep productivity.
+ Unload products with a hand truck and place items in the customer storage area.
+ Able to perform repeated, manual heavy lifting of items up to 80 pounds.
+ Make frequent stops during a work shift.
+ Deliver product in inclement weather conditions.
+ Verify delivery of items with customers.
+ Collect money (cash or checks) where needed.
**What you bring to the table**
+ Must be at least 21 years of age.
+ Must have valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications.
+ High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
+ Valid U.S. driver's license issued by the state of legal residence with proper endorsements if required
+ No more than two convictions in the past two-year period for traffic violations, no DUI convictions in the past three years, no driver's license suspensions in the past three years.
+ Minimum of six months of commercial driving experience (any industry) OR three months of driving experience in the food and beverage delivery industry required.
+ Must be able to pass DOT physical.
