The Commercial Finance Business Partner (CFBP) is based in the Arlington, Virginia office and reports to the Senior Director of Commercial Finance & Corporate Development. The CFBP is a part of the U.S. Finance Department and supports its internal and external initiatives, and autonomously and as directed by the Senior Director of Commercial Finance & Corporate Development and CFO.

What does a Commercial Finance Manager Do:

The Commercial Finance Manager is a valued member of the Finance Team contributing to the strategic opportunities in the Travel Experiences division at a Global or Regional level. Examples of these may include:

  • Financial modelling / business casing, competitive analysis, consumer research, legal or regulatory guidelines
  • Clear project definition (scope, desired outputs, key stakeholders)
  • Gather the essential information – facts and views – from key stakeholders and interrogate logically and rationally

Responsibilities
  • Forecasting & Budgeting: Lead all regional sales forecast processes and land annual budgets. Drive alignment and collaboration with corporate objectives and in market business strategies. Complete and own monthly Profit and Loss (P&L) close processes.
  • Financial Modelling: Build, maintain and scale robust financial models to accelerate business performance and scenario planning
  • Performance Analysis: Deliver insights to influence business outcomes, from analysis on internal financial metrics, partner performance and market competitiveness.
  • Business Partnership: Be a trusted advisor to business partners in enabling Microsoft to achieve key performance indicators like sales units, revenue, gross margin and market share. Collaborate, partner and influence business leaders and cross-functional teams with planning go-to-market strategies to compete effectively, drive market share, assess investment effectiveness and uphold compliance across the business. Oversee finance rhythm of the business with sales team, land product strategies in channel and deal execution and enable launch readiness.

Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 2+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 4+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field + OR equivalent experience.
  • 3+years in a matrixed organization.

Financial Analysis IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $96,500 - $88,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD 123,500 - 206,400 per year.
