**Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS)** has an exciting opportunity for Flight Operations Mechanics to support the Phantom Works team in Las Vegas, NV!
Flight encompasses all of the duties of the following job classifications: Inspector Aircraft, Mechanic Electrical and Electronics, and Mechanic Flight.
**This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.**
**Position Responsibilities:**
-Perform operational checkout of aircraft prior to and during preflight
- Inspect explosive and armament installations
- Perform activities prior to flight status and final inspection and daily maintenance of completed experimental aircraft or major modification to experimental aircraft
- Inspect and/or perform bench and flight line operational checkout and inspect, troubleshooting, adjustment and repair of electrical and electronic systems
- Inspect the calibration, adjustment, troubleshooting, repair and modification of electronic test equipment used exclusively by production and at times may be required to inspect the calibration, adjustment, trouble-shooting, repair and modification of other electronic test equipment as directed
- Perform aircraft and/or spacecraft bench or flight line operational checkout, trouble-shooting, adjustment and repair of any electrical or electronic system
- Fabricate, adjust, trouble shoot, repair and modify aircraft electrical systems. Perform operational checkout of hydraulic systems and mechanical systems
- Diagnose and correct hydraulic and mechanical malfunctions. Operate engines during run-ups and troubleshoot when needed
- Perform engine buildup as assigned. Install, repair, and replace tanks, power plants, generators, and aircraft engines
- Install or replace reservoirs, etc. and repair leaks in same. Install or replace instruments such as fuel quantity, rate of climb and oil pressure indicators
- Splice, route, clamp, solder, and string tie wires or wire bundles
- Install and load ejection seats and guns. Install adjust, repair and replace structural parts and assemblies
- Fabricate parts such as skins, doors, aircraft frames, air bags, test panels, clips, brackets, angles and ribs without the aid of jigs and fixtures
- Modify aircraft components or aircraft support equipment
- Perform composite repairs
**Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):**
+ 5+ years of experience in electrical assembly installation
+ 5+years of experience in aircraft electrical modification to electrical wing and system components
+ 5+years of experience with military aircraft involving avionics and or electrical
+ Active Top Secret Clearance
**Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):**
+ Experience fabricating, installing, routing, terminating, soldering, and repairing electrical wiring harnesses; or any variety of electrical components, and associated equipment

The **Flight Operations Specialist** is responsible for coordinating global activities to anticipate, plan, and execute safe, secure, and efficient aviation operations under the general direction of the Aviation Operations Manager. The position will be based in North Houston by IAH airport.
**Responsibilities May Include:**
+ Identify and select the appropriate asset (aircraft) supporting Aviation operations in all regions, to meet the Safety, Security, and Efficiency required by Phillips 66.
+ Analyze the schedule and determine the most cost-effective criteria of Phillips 66 procurement and departmental budget while meeting the needs of the executives and mission requirements.
+ Ensure Aviation Operations has the required resources to allow the company to travel to new regions.
+ Review and assess operational requirements such as destination runway, weight and balance, hanger space, de-icing, fuel, curfews, and FBO/facility amenities. Every mission requires detailed analysis to ensure critical standards and performance criteria are met.
+ Analyze flight plan routes, fatigue levels, crew, and aircraft performance capabilities to meet the timeline required to support each mission.
+ Post-flight reconciliation.
+ Monitor and coordinate with governmental, security, and support agencies to prevent any impediment to the timeline. These include the FAA (local, regional and national levels), TSA, DHS, Department of Agriculture, and Customs and Immigration.
+ Actively promote a safety-oriented culture and understand risks based on the analysis of the Vector Safety Management System (Vector SMS) or VOCUS (as it is known in "app" form) is utilized to augment the overall safety management of the Phillips 66 Aviation Department.
+ Flexibility to assist the Aviation Operations Team during an Emergency Response.
+ Develop and coordinate relationships with vendors, contractors, third-party parties, and government agencies to implement a plan that meets budget, contracts, and integration requirements.
+ Execute the Phillips 66 minimum criteria for third-party aircraft to ensure the aircraft and crew assigned meet company requirements
+ Responsible for arranging transportation and accommodations for passengers and crew.
+ Handle a wide range of administrative duties such as maintaining records, airport badges, IBAC badges and event support.
