JOB SUMMARY:

This position supports technology development, production validation, as well as marketing and sales related activities. Responsibilities include vehicle/product evaluation, test track driving, transport to / from and onsite support of trade shows and customer events, as well as other drives as assigned. Successful candidate will be able to represent Stoneridge and the product(s) with a level of expertise and professionalism. Must be able to interface with teammates, customers, other drivers, and fleet representatives in a collaborative and professional manner. This position will also be responsible for compliance with federal and state rules regarding hours of service, fuel taxes management, etc.

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Performs truck system functional evaluations per test specifications; documents system performance and safety issues with support from engineering development team
* Represents driver point of view/voice of customer to development teams
* Perform development and validation tests on the various systems led by the Chief Technology Office or Stoneridge Electronics, including but not limited to MirrorEye
* Provide timely, detailed and constructive feedback about use cases and design solutions from a customer perspective
* Collect data per direction from engineering development team
* Participate in test plan definition
* Document test results and participate in problem solving with Stoneridge personnel and partners


* Represents the company and its products with professionalism
* Drive commercial vehicles (up to and including class 8 tractor that includes a trailer)
* Relates experience with Stoneridge products to engineering development team


* Maintains inspection and safety records for all vehicles under Stoneridge management
* Includes compliance to hours of service, fuel taxes, and other legal requirements

Job Description:
Identifies and pursues new sales prospects within existing or untapped markets. Gathers market intelligence, generates leads, and develops proposals/campaigns to garner new business, ensuring a consistent flow of new revenues to the company. Uses knowledge of markets, industries, and clients to determine demand, future trends and potential projects. Works pre-developed lead lists to generate business and identify new customer prospects.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
Assists in marketing and supporting RM's to propose and win equipment loan transactions.
Creates, modifies and manages loan administration for various products in conjunction with various groups within the organization.
Interfaces with customers for past due collection efforts.
Performs and coordinates various other operational requirements related to insurance requirements, customized invoices, tracking of financial statements, processing early buy-out and loan options etc.
Interfaces with Santander's risk management, accounting, operations and other areas for budgetary, planning and reporting.
Manages booking process of individual loans.
Manages documentation process including negotiations, interfacing with attorneys, managing closing dates, legal sign offs, UCC filings and title work.
Manages funding process including internal sign offs, funding approval, and reconciliation between documentation, equipment invoices, SAMs and monies sent.

Education:

Skills and Abilities:
Demonstrated experience in operations and administration of a portfolio in a bank environment.
Clear understanding and ability to evaluate underlying collateral, establish value to proposed request with up to date knowledge of specific industry market conditions and trends.
Ability to effectively interact with risk management groups and systems within the Company.
High level of proficiency in financial calculations including experience working with T-Value and custom payment programs as well as thorough knowledge of contracts.
Banking industry experience preferred.
Strong knowledge and understanding of a variety of Santander products across business lines.
Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook.
Self-motivated with a willingness to achieve goals.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment

What You Will Do

  • Evaluate truck, trailer and other commercial vehicle financing (CVF) applications using commercial and/or consumer credit bureaus, financial and/or bank statements, and other forms of analysis as needed to determine credit worthiness and proposed terms and conditions meet CVF underwriting standards.

Responsible for pick up and delivery of inbound and outbound to customer location, using company vehicles at least 50% of the time. What to Expect

The Sr. Commercial Vehicle Finance Associate (Truck & Trailer) is involved in the underwriting of commercial vehicle loan requests originating from approved dealers or OEMs.

What You Will Do

  1. Evaluate truck, trailer, and other commercial vehicle financing (CVF) applications using commercial and/or consumer credit bureaus, financial and/or bank statements, and other forms of analysis as needed to determine creditworthiness and that proposed terms and conditions meet CVF underwriting standards.
  2. Support system enhancement and implementation by working cross-functionally on business requirement documentation, workflow definition, compliance adherence, testing, and training, using domain expertise in truck and trailer financing.
  3. Support the CVF funding teams workflow process by assisting dealers or OEM with contract issues as well as contacting dealers regarding missing loan documentation to ensure loan packages are funded within a timely manner.

Qualifications

What You Will Bring

  • Minimum 4-6 years related experience including 2+ years as a Credit Analyst
  • Experience with truck and trailer credit and funding processes, including loan documentation
  • Knowledge of Daybreak and/or Alfa and automated credit decision system(s) a plus
  • Proven track record with delivering seamless customer experiences
  • Proven knowledge of the truck and trailer credit and funding processes, including loan documentation
  • Ability to assist in training internal and external customers on Truck and Trailer Commercial Vehicle Finance
  • Basic knowledge of compliance laws related to commercial vehicle lending, contracting, and funding
  • Proficient in MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Relationship building skills with both internal and external customers
  • Self-starter with excellent time management skills, ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-starter, team-oriented, strong interpersonal skills
