Our client, a leading logistics provider, is seeking an experienced Fleet Operations Supervisor to manage and optimize their commercial vehicle fleet. This is a fully remote position, offering flexibility and the opportunity to oversee critical transportation operations from any location within the US. You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient, safe, and compliant operation of our fleet, including driver management, vehicle maintenance scheduling, route optimization, and adherence to transportation regulations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in transportation management, excellent leadership skills, and a deep understanding of fleet operations.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and manage a team of remote fleet dispatchers and drivers, ensuring operational efficiency and adherence to schedules.
  • Monitor fleet performance, analyzing key metrics such as fuel efficiency, mileage, on-time delivery rates, and vehicle utilization.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local transportation regulations, including hours of service (HOS) and DOT requirements.
  • Coordinate and schedule preventative maintenance and repairs for the fleet to minimize downtime.
  • Develop and implement strategies for route optimization to improve delivery times and reduce operational costs.
  • Manage driver performance, providing coaching, training, and feedback.
  • Oversee accident investigations and implement corrective actions to prevent future incidents.
  • Maintain accurate fleet records, including vehicle logs, maintenance histories, and driver information.
  • Collaborate with maintenance vendors and service providers to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness of repairs.
  • Stay informed about advancements in fleet management technology and best practices.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is a plus.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in fleet operations or transportation management.
  • Proven experience managing remote teams, dispatchers, or drivers.
  • In-depth knowledge of DOT regulations, FMCSA guidelines, and transportation safety standards.
  • Familiarity with fleet management software and telematics systems.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Overview

We have an opportunity for an experienced New Truck Sales Representative to join our sales team. This role will hit the ground running by taking over a territory and inheriting an extensive customer pipeline.

This role will specialize in both the Mack and Volvo product lines. You will be responsible for establishing and growing heavy duty Mack and Volvo Trucks Sales for the region; this will involve heavy collaboration and partnership with other team members and departments in the region. We are seeking an entrepreneurial-minded, customer-focused individual who can successfully articulate the value proposition of TEC Equipment, Mack and Volvo products we represent.

Responsibilities

    Identify, consult, and engage prospective customers throughout region. Develop and apply sales strategies to help increase Mack & Volvo market share within our Area of Operation (AOR).
  • Build a strong customer pipeline by understanding the customers' business needs and providing comprehensive solutions to exceed those needs. Actively follow up with customers per commitments, provide accurate & timely information, and ensure actions are consistent and demonstrate TEC's desire to be the customers' best business partner.
  • Collaborate with team members inside and outside of the sales department; build symbiotic relationships with Truck Sales, Finance, Parts, Service, and Leasing teams. Work with Marketing on product promotion and advertising.
  • Fully utilize Salesforce CRM system to track and support sales activities.
  • Establish trusting relationships with OEM reps to facilitate sales, obtain product support, and provide prompt warranty and policy support. Leverage key supplier relationships to provide incremental value to customers.
  • Assist in developing and creating specific specifications for our unique customer-base and service offerings. Completely understand and anticipate our customers' needs and be able to acclimate to their wants.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the market, industry, customers, and competitors.
Qualifications
  • Three years of sales in commercial vehicles, truck dealerships, or medium-duty/heavy-duty OEM experience
  • Proven history of achieving/exceeding sales and business objectives.
  • Proven negotiator; ability to build/manage lasting relationships and influence vertically & laterally.
  • Sound business acumen with ability to analyze, prioritize, identify, and execute solutions.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding.
  • Proficient with MS Office; Salesforce, and all other required systems.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to maintain composure and exercise sound judgment at all times.
  • Valid driver's license with good driving record; CDL preferred.

The Used Truck Sales Representative solicits truck sales business within assigned territory, customarily and regularly in-person and away from the assigned work location.

Responsibilities:
+ Self-generate prospective customers/business opportunities with new and existing customers.
+ Maintain relationships within assigned territory and make personal sales calls at a customer's location to maximize sales success, at least three (3) full business days a week.
+ Build and maintain a strong pipeline of sales opportunities by regularly spending time outside of the office making sales calls and following up on generated quotes.
+ Make a minimum of 3 in person sales visits OR 20 outbound sales phone calls per day properly documented in CRM.
+ Utilize Microsoft CRM for proper managing of accounts and contacts. All communications and business interactions must be documented weekly and with specific detail in CRM. Specific detail includes: all sales calls made to customers, appointments, follow-ups, quotes and any other business conducted.
+ Maintain current knowledge of truck specifications.
+ Proper completion of all paperwork associated with a truck sales transaction.
+ Obtain Sales Manager's approval on all truck deals.
+ Coordinate service work such as PDI, miscellaneous add ons and/or repairs with the service department. Purchase Order with an authorized signature is required before the truck is sent to service.
+ Coordinate with the Finance and Insurance Departments, providing accurate information and paperwork to assist in obtaining customer financing and insurances.
+ Promote and support our "One Team" vision. Sell all services offered: Parts, Service, Body Shop, Used Truck Warranties, RushCare Contract Maintenance, and RushCare telematics. Take the initiative to identify the customers' overall business needs and not just their transportation needs.
+ Within 6 months sell minimum of 6 units (1 per month), obtain 50 approved accounts in CRM, and have a minimum of 1 finance contract, 1 Used Truck Warranty, 1 RushCare contract maintenance contract, and 1 RushCare telematics contract.
+ Meet Account Management, Productivity and Performance requirements as outlines in the Used Truck Personnel System and Standardization Framework.
+ Complete all required training as outlined in the Used Truck Personnel System and Standardization Framework.
+ Conduct business ethically and professionally, assuring a favorable impression of self and the company.
+ Maintain a safe work environment by observing safety procedures and by requiring that all staff follow the required safety rules and regulations.
+ Maintain work area in an orderly fashion, including vehicle.
Education and/or Experience:
+ High school diploma or general education degree (GED); One year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
