**Position Purpose:**
Project Engineer - Performs commissioning of electrical systems. Must be a self-motivated & energetic professional. Must have understanding of building electrical systems design & construction. Must have experience with commissioning process of electrical systems ranging in size, rating and complexity. The ideal candidate shall possess theoretical and practical knowledge in the commissioning, testing and troubleshooting of electrical systems and related controls. Candidate will be responsible for reviewing project information; executing daily field activities; maintaining project documentation; assisting the Senior Project Engineer; and providing guidance to associate project engineers. This role requires the candidate to have technical competency, organizational skills and is expected to work well in a team environment.
**Primary Duties/Responsibilities:**
+ Commission electrical distribution equipment and related controls, primarily in data center environments, including medium voltage systems.
+ Review system designs for compliance with client facility goals.
+ Assist with preparing plans and procedures for execution of the commissioning process.
+ Conduct commissioning activities from the design phase through the occupation phase, in accordance with client requirements and industry commissioning process best practices.
+ Attend factory testing of equipment and document procedures and results.
+ Conduct functional testing of equipment and measure results using test instrumentation.
+ Fully document all field procedures including results, issues and observations either via company provided templates or online applications.
+ Report on system performance and make technical recommendations on issues.
+ Work with project teams to coordinate and execute field activities.
+ Review and provide input on commissioning project documentation and schedules.
+ Assist with submitting and maintaining daily commissioning reports.
+ Assist in the training of Associate Project Engineers.
+ Respond to project team and client inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
+ Comply with company, client, and project safety requirements.

**Qualifications**
**Education/Experience/Background:**
+ BSc/MSc in Electrical Engineering with 2 or more years with mission critical project experience, or relevant and applicable industry experience.
+ Or a minimum of 4 or more years of experience in commissioning with mission critical project experience, or relevant and applicable industry experience.
**Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:**
+ Experience in Mission Critical facility commissioning essential.

* Office of Legal Counsel serves the agency's diverse legal needs across the Environmental Conservation, Environmental Quality and Energy branches and the Commissioner's Office to achieve the agency's multi-faceted mission to: (1) conserve, improve and protect the state's natural resources and environment; (2) control air, land and water pollution to enhance the public's health, safety and welfare; and (3) improve access to cleaner, more affordable and more reliable energy. May be asked to assist with public records requests and to support the work of the Transactional Management and Regulatory Affairs legal unit. Classes are offered on weekday evenings so professionally minded students can continue to work while completing their degree. As a part of our campus cohort, students will connect with MPPA faculty and students through in-depth discussions and hands-on projects. Students will also have access to real-world experience through the world class city of Fort Collins, recipient of the prestigious Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. Graduates of the MPPA program will be prepared to lead as executives, managers, analysts, and planners in a wide range of public sector agencies and nonprofit organizations.

Position Summary
The Master of Public Policy and Administration ( MPPA ) program seeks applications throughout the year from individuals who are interested in obtaining temporary or special teaching positions within the program. The program provides instruction to graduate students. These Instructors are hired to teach courses in areas such as public administration, public policy, and research methods in public policy and administration.

Preferred Job Qualifications

Overview:
Performs paraprofessional work to administer road examinations to applicants for all classes of driver's licenses; administers and grades written drivers examinations; performs cashier functions for driver's license and/or motor vehicle fees, balances cash or checks with validation tape totals and prepares deposit records; reviews and completes motor vehicle title and registration applications.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Administers road examinations to applicants for all classes of driver's licenses; serves as information clerk to the public; explains improper actions to applicants during the examination; reviews and completes driver's license applications for processing; checks appropriateness and validity of applicant identification documents.
  • Administers and grades written drivers examinations; explains incorrect test responses, codes applications according to results; administers vision tests and operates photographic equipment to prepare photo identification (ID) or driver's license for applicants.
  • Performs cashier functions for driver license and/or motor vehicle fees; balances cash or checks with validation tape totals to assure that all fees are accurately accounted for; prepares deposit records or other routine financial documents necessary to process collected fees; may be required to take deposit to bank; prepares reports for supervisor on applications processed as required; performs facility opening and/or closing responsibilities as required.
  • Reviews and completes motor vehicle title and registration applications, reviews fee checks and assures necessary attachments are present; accepts cash or checks for fees and prepares for final processing; performs manual or automated sticker sales as required.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned.
Education and Experience:

Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of eight years elementary school and two years of general office experience preferably including one year in a driver or motor vehicle facility and operation of keyboard equipment.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Requires working knowledge of business English, spelling and commercial arithmetic.
  • Requires working knowledge of office methods, practices and procedures.
  • Requires elementary knowledge of the Illinois Vehicle Code as it applies to office tasks pertaining to obtaining or retaining a valid Illinois driver's license and the processing of various motor vehicle forms.
  • Requires elementary knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures and techniques.
  • Requires ability to maintain records of some complexity.
  • Requires ability to deal tactfully with the general public and to maintain satisfactory working relationships with other employees.
  • Requires ability to communicate both orally and in writing.
  • Requires ability to operate in an independent manner within defined procedures.
  • Requires possession of a valid Illinois driver's license.
  • Requires ability to lift/carry 0-25 lbs. and travel to other facilities and/or mobile locations to perform assigned duties.
