The Role We Want You For

The Commissioning Engineer will lead day-to-day activities providing technical knowledge and solving skills as Completions Management System (CMS) SME (CxAlloy). Prepare detailed CMS plans and procedures for system turnover and handover. Educate and promote buy in for Completions Management System and Completions procedures across the Project Execution Teams. Support Commissioning Project Managers, Leads and System Owners to handover systems to Manufacturing / Operations / Facilities.

• Updates Equipment, Construction Checklists, Commissioning Checklists, Completions Certificates, and Issues, as required.
• Manages access and user rights in CxAlloy to ensure proper controls in place for stat using and inputs.
• Trains users at beginner and advanced levels in CxAlloy weekly training and technical support issues.
• Systemizes drawing packages and updates accordantly.
• Systemizes Project commodities, processes and identifies system boundaries of each in CxAlloy.
• Translates systemized drawings to CMS - adds assets to appropriate systems.
• Updates drawings, systemization, check sheets as changes are updated through revisions, tag changes, RFI"s SME for system status review and walkdown tracking, including leading meetings, system sign off and commissioning check sheets in weekly reviews.
• Monitors construction schedule in preparation to executing commissioning activities.
• Provides weekly schedule status updates to assigned Scheduler(s) to demonstrate commissioning status advancement, completion, or lack of advancement.
• Progress reporting via CMS data manipulation and milestone tracking.
• Leads progress meetings with Construction, Commissioning and Facilities teams.
• Drives systems to completion via close interaction with Construction and Commissioning teams, identifying opportunities to facilitate handover.
• Schedules and tracks walkdowns with System Owner support, ensuring system readiness via CMS checklist and punch statuses.

Additionally, CxEs communicate lessons learned and continuously collaborate on program improvements.
The CxE shall provide multi-discipline input into the scheduling, test script development, designing, and planning of projects. In addition, the CxE will be required to review component submittal packages, lead Factory Witness Testing (FWT), perform system level and integrated system testing. During commissioning the CxE will continuously audit activities to ensure compliance with environmental, quality, and safety requirements. Additionally, the individual will be responsible for comprehensive weekly reporting of status of all ongoing projects and lessons learned to continually improve the quality of our program. Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of engineering, installation, or startup/commissioning of electrical and mechanical systems
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or 5 years of relevant discipline work experience

The responsibilities of the ACx Commissioning Engineer (CxE) include, but are not limited to, oversight and coordination of multi-discipline division of work related to design review and commissioning of Amazon critical infrastructure for new construction and special projects. The CxE is responsible for supporting vendors, contractors, and other teams involved in the construction and commissioning of various systems including medium and low voltage power systems, Generators, UPS, HVAC, Chilled Water, BMS, and EPMS systems. They shall provide multi-discipline input into the scheduling, test script development, designing, and planning of projects. In addition, the CxE will be required to develop and review electrical and mechanical component and integrated systems testing along with other commissioning documents to ensure they are compliant with the basis of design, specification, industry standards and sequence of operations. It is the CxE responsibility to ensure that all commissioning procedures follow the appropriate safety practices and policies. CxE is responsible for auditing commissioning activities continuously to ensure compliance with environmental, quality, and safety requirements. Position Summary: The Commissioning Engineer is responsible for the commissioning of hardware and software to customer specifications. This is a field support position reporting to the Service Manager. This position may also require oversight/management and site supervision to meet the project goals and schedules. He or she must work closely with the individual site teams to ensure that installations are complete, ready for startup, and the necessary resources and plans are in place for a successful startup and launch. The position requires travel and possibly extended stays at the job site(s).

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Provide commissioning for projects and products
• Conduct equipment start-up and debug
• Verify hardwired installation
• Debug controls, hardware, and software
• Record baseline data
• Mark up drawing changes
• Project performance and data collection
• Forecast project schedule
• Produce daily site reports
• Provide standby and customer support
• Support field personnel
• Support selection and controls of suppliers and Purchased Equipment vendors
• Assist with installation supervision as needed
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections at customer sites
• Work as part of a team on major projects or individually on smaller projects
• Train customers on Durr Systems products
• Travel approximately 90%

Nonessential Functions

• Perform inspections of existing equipment and generate a field service report based on findings
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (or equivalent experience) preferred.
• Three or more years of position-related experience in industrial process equipment, air handling, and combustion systems or in a similar industry. Experience commissioning industrial equipment, working knowledge of abatement products preferred.
• Computing/programming experience: PLC, HMI, Windows, and Office Suite
• Familiar with basic electrical and mechanical engineering principles
• Familiar with P&ID schematics and controls
• Familiar with regulatory standards (OSHA, NFPA, MSHA)
• Proficient with PLCs (e.g., Rockwell, Siemens)
• Able to read and interpret AutoCAD drawings
• Proficient with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Good time management skills
• Good organizational skills
• Good verbal communication skills
• Good technical writing skills
• Able to work well independently and in a team environment
• Able to technically define problems and propose solutions
• Adaptable to change in a learning environment
• Willing and able to work overtime, weekends, and holidays

Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work vary based on need. May be required to work holidays or weekends. Overtime may be required.
