**What You'll Bring to Our Team**
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's degree
+ 5+ years of relevant experience in supply chain, program management, commodity management, or related areas involving negotiation, supplier selection, and contract implementation.
+ Skilled in ERP systems and proficient in Excel for data analysis.
+ Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a high-paced environment.
+ Strong communication, analytical, and project management abilities.
+ Self-starter with a proactive approach to problem-solving and execution.
+ Experience negotiating with global suppliers, particularly in Asia and North America.

**What You Will Be Doing**
This Senior Commodity Buyer is accountable for the Quality, Delivery, Cost, Feature, Technology, Sustainability, and Risk Management (QDCFTSR) of suppliers within the Information Technology (IT) segment. Teledyne FLIR is hiring a Buyer/Planner in Wilsonville, OR. The Buyer/Planner will be responsible for quoting and purchasing materials for high tech infrared cameras and gimbaled assemblies. Buyer/Planners for Teledyne FLIR assist in ensuring quality, supplier reliability, and timely deliveries to meet company objectives. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing complex commodities for build-to-print assemblies. This includes sourcing, negotiating, coordinating, and overseeing all aspects of the procurement process.
**Primary Duties & Responsibilities:**
+ Develop, implement, facilitate and manage commodity projects focused on strategic initiatives, cost reduction and process improvement.
+ Manage procurements for assigned commodities to satisfy business needs while complying with government, quality systems, and company policy requirements.
+ Identify and recommend suppliers by investigating potential sources, researching parts, equipment, machinery, services, and materials availability.
