Summary:
The commodity manager is responsible to develop and execute the purchasing strategy for the assigned commodity, taking into consideration site and division objectives to ensure alignment with overall business goals.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Strategy Development and Implementation:
Define and deploy the purchasing strategy.
Implement a roadmap that aligns with corporate and division objectives across various business lines.
Consolidate and analyze purchasing data.
Monitor market segmentation and trends.
Identify performance improvement drivers, such as operational efficiency and cost savings.
- Supplier Management:

Manage sourcing for current or future business needs in collaboration with the NPI Commodity Manager
Assess and mitigate risks related to the commodity
- Contract Negotiation:
Negotiate long-term and global trade agreements in line with division expectations.
Focus on cost savings, liability and accountability for performance.
Optimize working capital through logistics solutions, safety stock, vendor-managed inventory (VMI), and more.
- Cost optimization & Value creation:
Identify cost saving opportunities without compromising quality or supply chain stability
Implement contract clauses that drive continuous improvement and innovation from suppliers
- Supplier Performance Monitoring:
Consolidate and report on supplier performance for the commodities managed.
Support cross-purchasing initiatives within SEP or Safran Group.
**Candidate skills & requirements**
Required Education and/or Experience
- A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Purchasing, or a related field
- 5 years of experience in purchasing negotiations within a fast-paced manufacturing sector such as aerospace, automotive, high-tech.
- Proven experience in sourcing or commodity management
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively across cultural and geographical borders, ensuring alignment and collaboration within teams.
Required Knowledge/Skills
- Must be a proactive leader.
- Proven negotiation skills and the ability to cultivate and maintain successful supplier relationships.

1. Occupational Summary (Position Objective & Authorities)
Objective:
Coordinating purchases for one or more purchasing commodities:
- Drafting, getting validated and deploying the target purchasing policies for one or more commodities in accordance with the needs and objectives of the internal customers (contracting customers).
- Guaranteeing the attainment of objectives within your scope in terms of gains and service level expected by Safran: - through the establishment of a supplier panel (deriving from the target panel recommended by the target purchasing policy), according to the supplier selection and contractualization process applicable in the Group - through compliance by suppliers with their contractual commitments (including operational performance and costs).
This position works under general supervision of the Director, Commodity Management.
2. Essential Functions (Duties and Responsibilities)
A) Coordinating, drafting and proposing to the purchasing director of your company (or the Group) the target purchasing policy for the commodity concerned, in accordance with the objectives of your company, and in particular:
B) Coordinating invitations to tender, implementing the supplier selection process.
C) Negotiating and drawing up contracts with the selected suppliers.
D) Managing the panel of suppliers:

F) Reporting back to the purchasing department of your company or of the Group
G) Being the key contact of the lead family buyer (company or Group), when there is one.

A. Education & Qualification-
- A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business or other related field is required or six years of equivalent/related experience.
B. Work Experience - Technical knowledge-
- Additionally, eight (8) years of hands-on experience working in one of the listed fields is required with prior purchasing/sourcing experience in positions of progressing responsibility with specific experience managing direct spend of targeted commodities.
- Ability to map supply chains and overcome obstacles, both internal and external, by presenting facts to support projects' value to the business. Work with Internal stakeholders to overcome objections.
- Strong background in building strategic relationships with suppliers and internal customers or stakeholders.
- Ability to work with close supervision; self - directed.

**Compensation Range**
$74,000 - $9,000 - 124,000
The base salary range for this role at minimum, midpoint and maximum is shown above. It is not typical for a candidate to be hired close to or at the maximum of the salary range. At Sprinklr, base pay depends on multiple individualized factors, including experience, qualifications, job-related knowledge and skills, and geographic location. Base pay also depends on the relative experience, knowledge, skills to our internal peers in the role.
