Job Purpose

As a buyer at CNH Industrial, you will support a wide range of procurement and sourcing activities for assigned commoditiies, with a focus on daily purchasing operations, supplier communication, and system accuracy. You will collaberorate cross-functionally to ensure supply continuity, manage purchase orders, and support data tracking and reporting. Tariff tracking and mitigation support will be part of your responsibilities. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, analytical professional starting their career in procurement and looking to grow within a global manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and evaluate external price trends and new product 1) offerings to reduce overall purchasing costs.
  • Collaborates with suppliers to assure the quality of their products, materials, components and/or operations and developssupply recommendations.
  • Ensures suppliers can meet forecasted demand.
  • May coordinate efforts in the reduction of purchasing/engineering costs and establishing cost for new products.
  • May participate in design and/or technical reviews.
  • May select, recommend and manage relationships with major suppliers, vendors, or sub-contractors to ensure the
    organization receives satisfactory standards of service.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Experience Required
  • A bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain or related field along with a minimum of 5 years of purchasing experience.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% - domestic and international (majority of travel will be domestic).

Preferred Qualifications
  • Intermediate level of proficiency in Excel (to include pivot tables and v-look ups).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, negotiation skills, analytical and problem-solving skills, and computer skills.
  • Excellent ability to work as a team within purchasing, other functions, and with locations worldwide.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge/experience of raw material analysis and tracking systems.
  • Experience in analyzing, selecting/recommending, approving, and auditing suppliers for different product platforms within a multi-plant manufacturing environment, based upon supplier capability relative to designing, supporting, quality and manufacturing.
  • Strong negotiation background with knowledge of corporate purchasing practices and strategies that bring about closure of long-term agreements reflecting positive results that contribute to organizational/departmental goals.
  • Experience developing and implementing commodity strategies.
  • Proven experience in mitigating supplier delivery, cost, and relationship issues with positive outcome for the company.
  • Ability to facilitate and lead technical and commercial meetings that require multiple cross functional participants.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

**Commodity Trading Associate Position:**
As an entry-level Commodity Trading Associate you will be a part of a fast-paced environment, tackling real-world challenges while trading agricultural commodities such as grain, oilseeds/oilseed products, feed and processing by-products. We look for people who are comfortable taking and managing risk, challenging the status quo and who are motivated and driven to succeed.
**Your work:**
+ Develop and maintain customer relationships with country elevators, producers, feed mills, and processors
+ Analyze supply and demand, survey market conditions, and other economic forces in order to maintain and grow Cargill's position in the market place
+ Initiate, negotiate and agree on terms of commodity purchase/sale contracts, such as price, quality, quantity, transportation, timing and payment
+ Coordinate transportation and logistics to execute commodity contracts
+ Ensure thorough and accurate follow-up, execution, and closure of all contracts
+ Provide timely and effective communication and interaction with other Cargill teams such as sales, transportation and logistics, quality assurance, plant personnel, engineers and accountants
+ Make occasional plant and crop survey trips to visit with suppliers and internal and external customers
+ Complete and collaborate on other projects and assignments as needed

**Our Compensation:**
The expected salary for this position is $72,000. Commodity Trading Internship:
Our Commodity Trading internship program enables the individual to build relationships with internal and external customers to successfully buy, move, process, and/or sell grain and its products.
