Summary:
Administers/interprets appropriate assessment measures in order to form appropriate recommendations for the management of communication disorders. Develops/provides treatment programs for patient populations ranging from children through geriatric. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.
Qualifications:

Masters Degree in speech pathology and a valid State of Ohio Speech-Language Pathology Licensure

Must be certified as a Speech-Language Pathologist by the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA), or must obtain certification:

Within 12 months of hire for a full-time employee

Within 18 months of hire for a part-time employee

Possesses current BLS certification, or obtains within 90 days of hire.

Ability to travel to satellite locations.

Responsible for the evaluation, treatment planning and implementation of treatment for patients demonstrating disorders of speech, language, cognition, swallowing and other services prescribed by a physician. Assists in developing and implementing new and ongoing programs beneficial for the enhancement of the department.
Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited college or university with Bachelor's in speech therapy required.

MS degree in Speech-Language Pathology preferred.

At least one year of experience in a hospital setting

Licensed by the State in Speech-Language Pathology.
