**Duties/Responsibilities:**
+ Under the guidance of the Director of Communications at Healthfirst, identify media opportunities, develop pitches, and proactively secure earned media coverage that supports Healthfirsts brand and business priorities.
+ Collaborate with Social Media team to execute engagement growth strategy, including monitoring trends, responding to inquiries, and amplifying Healthfirsts voice across social platforms.
+ Collaborate with colleagues across the Corporate Communications team to develop and execute content that supports Healthfirsts business goals and drive audience engagement

**Minimum Qualifications:**
+ Bachelors degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
+ Strong written and verbal communications skills and experience developing press releases, pitches, briefing materials and talking points.
+ Proven experience in pitching journalists and securing earned media placements, including writing press materials, pitching stories, and working directly with media outlets to secure coverage.
+ Creative and strategic thinker with a track record of developing compelling content across channelsincluding digital, social, and video.
+ Strong ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.

**Role Overview**

Internal Communications serves Coinbase's mission by helping to deliver an exceptional employee experience and reinforce our mission, strategy and culture. The Senior Internal Communications Manager will report to the Director of Internal Communications as an independent contributor at Coinbase and partner directly with executives, senior leaders and teams across the company to tell powerful stories, design communications and change efforts, and help define communications standards and norms.

* Strategic communications partner to C-suite executives and other senior leaders.
* Ensure employees have the information and context they need to do their job.
* Create and improve systems that scale communications across a globally distributed, remote workforce.
* Develop a deep understanding of the company mission, strategy and culture to reinforce in all communications.
* Maintain a broad understanding of the needs and dynamics of each executive and team you support to best advise them.

* Well-developed "executive presence," including experience directly partnering with senior executives on communications initiatives, with examples of ability to influence stakeholders and adapt work style accordingly.
* Resilience and grit-able to maintain a proactive, even-keeled posture in the face of rapid organizational change and shifting priorities.

Job Description

This leader is responsible for leading science and data communications across the Immunology portfolio. The primary role will be to develop and execute the pipeline communications strategy for Immunology. This leader will also oversee communications related to AbbVies External Innovation efforts for Immunology including strategic alliances and collaborations, and business development activity. Leadership responsibilities include being the primary scientific communications partner for Immunology R&D leaders and representing Communications at relevant Governance meetings. This role reports to the Senior Director, Head of Pipeline and External Innovation Communications.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for setting early science communications strategies that drive awareness and understanding of TA portfolio priorities; includes science storytelling on the most compelling areas of science, mechanisms, technologies/platforms for the TA
  • Responsible for data/science communications related to the TA portfolio includes all pipeline assets and pre-approval data and program milestones for expanded indications of on-market medicines (regulatory milestones excluded)
  • Responsible for tracking pipeline and portfolio updates, identifying appropriate internal and external communications opportunities
  • Responsible for communication planning and execution for scientific data disclosures (e.g., congress presentations, publications), clinical development milestones, regulatory filings, and pre-commercial announcements for Immunology portfolio.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Clinical, Medical Affairs, Commercial, and Alliance Management to ensure alignment and integration of communications across functions
  • Responsible for supporting communications related to TA-specific clinical trial recruitment priorities
  • Responsible for leading communications strategies related to new business development activity and strategic partnerships for Immunology
  • Coordinates closely with existing external partners to determine appropriate communications approach for key clinical and business milestones
  • Develop and track communications KPIs to measure success, refine strategies, and communicate impact to internal stakeholders.
  • Works closely with TA counterparts on the Business Unit Communications and International Public Affairs teams
  • Interfaces and aligns with various functions, including government affairs, investor relations, legal, finance, discovery research, clinical development, regulatory affairs, medical affairs, and senior management
  • Oversees management of agencies and associated program budgets that support communications

  • Strong scientific understanding of how an asset moves through the discovery and development lifecycle
