The HR Specialist for the Disney Entertainment & ESPN Product & Technology team works with functional subject matter experts, team members, and leaders to complete tasks/projects and maintain HRIS data integrity in support of the people objectives of the business. They provide support to HRBPs, employees, and leaders on the appropriate interpretation and application of HR policies, processes, and practices. This role is expected to assess, prioritize, and act on client requests as needed and communicate needs that require additional support to the appropriate source (e.g. Employee Relations, Compensation, Organization Management, Talent Acquisition, Global HR Operations).
**Responsibilities:**
+ Assist in advising/providing guidance in the administration of HR related policies and procedures, to include:
+ Position management - in partnership with Global HR Operations (GHRO) and the segment org management team
+ Organizational chart management for client areas (where applicable)
+ Administration of local recognition programs and employee development offerings such as lunch & learns, partnership on townhalls, new hire welcome lunches, speaker series, etc.

+ In partnership with GHRO, support onboarding related activities with a focus on coaching managers with the onboarding plans and strategy for integration (i.e. new manager assimilation needs, key talent information).
+ In partnership with GHRO and leadership, coordinate offboarding related activities - to include HR partnership on sensitive separations, etc.
+ Establish and maintain strong relationships across the client group and cross-functional HR partners.

**Required Qualifications:**
+ Minimum 1 year experience in an HR client facing professional role

Respond to employees inquiries and service requests that are submitted to either the team 800 number or shared HR Services team email box. Areas of inquiry include benefits enrollment, benefit administration, Leave of Absence, HR Systems, payroll/time & attendance and Verification of Employment.
Effectively communicate an answer, policy or resolution for the inquiry. Document service request details into the tracking system and respond, elevate or reroute if necessary.
Enter new hire information from the Talent Acquisition team into HRMS. Compare documents to ensure information is accurate and complete.
Invites and delivers the weekly benefits orientation WebEx presentation to new hires. Ensures that the presentation is updated and contains accurate and current information.
Provides assistance to employees in the new hire enrollment process. Follows up with employees who do not enroll within given time frame.
Answers inquiries regarding payroll and timesheets. Communicates resolution to payroll or escalates unresolved issues or issues needing research by Payroll.
Meets with new employees to collect new hire paperwork, create personnel files and complete I-9 Employment Verification forms.
Processes simple employee changes submitted in UltiPro such as address changes and org changes ensuring accuracy, compliance and confidentially.
