+ Perform structural and fatigue simulations involving road loads. Should be capable of performing modal transient analysis.

+ Troubleshoot and resolve hardware-software interaction issues
**Performance Optimization:**
+ Analyze and optimize network performance, identifying bottlenecks and implementing solutions.
+ Develop and implement performance testing methodologies and tools.
**Security:**
+ Design and implement security features for Compute, Networking and Storage appliances software, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality
+ Stay up-to-date on security best practices and vulnerability remediation
**Collaboration:**
+ Work effectively in a team environment, collaborating with engineers and peer functional leads from different disciplines to innovate solutions, triage issues and speed execution

Ford Motor Company is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Supply Chain Buyer to lead the purchasing of Engineering Services for our North American operations. This critical role will focus on strategically managing suppliers of varies specialized engineering firms, ensuring cost-effective and timely delivery of services that support the development of cutting-edge automotive technologies. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a proven track record of success in negotiating contracts, managing supplier relationships, and driving cost reductions.
**What you'll do.**
+ Identify commercial opportunities and sourcing strategies within the Engineering Services category.
+ Support the Category Manager in the delivery of approved strategic objectives in line with the Product Development strategy and relevant Business Plans.
+ Provide expertise in the Engineering Services sourcing category, including market knowledge and sourcing best practice.
+ Help define and deliver the Engineering Services category plans and identify appropriate sourcing strategies which generate benefits and achieve financial savings during mitigating risk for Ford Motor Company.
+ Ensure Engineering Services contracts, including annual renewals, are managed appropriately and promptly.
+ Implement appropriate contractual safeguards, SLAs/ MSAs, and other operational measures to ensure vendors are incentivized to deliver a robust service.
+ Built and maintained strong collaborative relationships with key engineering services suppliers through effective communication and proactive issue resolution.
**You'll have.**
+ Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
+ 5+ years of experience in supply chain management, with a demonstrable focus on purchasing engineering services.
+ Well-developed negotiation skills in the Engineering Services category underpinned by detailed contract knowledge.
+ Proficient in managing multiple concurrent projects and contracts, including navigating competing priorities and resource constraints.
+ Demonstrated ability to lead negotiations and support the development of negotiation strategies for large and complex projects and contracts in engineering services, resulting in cost savings and improved contract terms.

+ Excellent level of communication skills to support cross-departmental and stakeholder liaison.
+ Ability to evaluate and analyze data to enable operational decision-making and present clear recommendations to peers, suppliers, and executive leadership.
