SOL Engineering Services, LLC is searching for a CAD (Computer-Aided Design) Operator to serve as the primary source for computer-aided design. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Familiarity with and understanding of engineering concepts and terminology is important.
Responsibilities

Ability to work in a dynamic environment and adapt to frequent project changes

Ability to follow complex instructions and diagrams to create or modify high-quality drawings using company and government drafting standards

Accuracy and effectiveness in electronic drafting

Coordinate filing, storage and retrieval of both manual and electronic drawings

Maintain, support and operate associated plotters and printers

Perform drawing and technology research

Coordinate with designers, technicians and other personnel to incorporate concepts and information into drawing packages

Must work effectively as part of a team or independently with minimal supervision

Ability to obtain a DOD security clearance and work in a secure environment

Explain drawings to construction teams and engineers to provide adjustments as necessary

Review completed construction drawings and cost estimates for accuracy and conformity to standards and regulations

Perform a variety of marginal duties not listed, to be determined and assigned as needed

Occasional travel may be required for this position
Requirements

Technical degree or certification in computer aided drafting

2+ years of experience

Proficiency and skill in navigating the AutoCAD software

PC application software and drafting/engineering practices and methods

Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat, current version of Auto CAD and/or Micro station, Excel and MS Office is required

It involves producing design information for various internal and external users and collaborating with the Host Broadcast Venue Management team in Miami on the planning and preparation for stadiums across the USA, Mexico, and Canada.
Your responsibilities
- Produce and edit detailed drawings for TV production and broadcast technical facilities at stadiums, following guidelines from Venue Management planning teams and the CAD Manager, in close collaboration with FIFA Maps & Drawings.
- Contribute with modifications across all CAD/Revit files consistently and maintain an up-to-date drawing register.
- Facilitate efficient reporting through drawings and design packages to other HBS departments, including Production, Broadcast Engineering, and Booking, as well as FIFA.
- Assist the Venue Management team and CAD Manager in developing design scenarios and options to support decision-making through drawings, space allocation studies, and workplace designs.
- Support the CAD Manager in liaising with FIFA Maps & Drawings and other groups to maintain an efficient drawing library and system access.
