Provide high-quality instruction to students and work collaboratively with the school leader, colleagues, students, parents and the board to accomplish or surpass the academy's articulated educational goals. Work as a collaborative team member to implement the academy curriculum and accomplish short- and long-term academic goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

• Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning; develop reasonable rules of classroom behavior and procedure; enforce the academy's student discipline code; collaborate in the implementation of initiatives such as school-wide behavior management systems.
• Plan a program of study that meets the individual needs and goals of students; establish clear objectives for all lessons and units; ensure that lessons -- as planned, delivered, and assessed -- are aligned with state curriculum and school-wide curriculum standards.
• Develop lesson plans and submit them for review and feedback as scheduled; work cooperatively with the academy's instructional coach to learn from feedback and improve the quality of instruction. Participate in ongoing analysis and
• planning to ensure that the school's curriculum remains aligned to state standards.
• Collaborate with special education staff to implement, to the greatest extent possible, an inclusive approach to students with special needs. Remain aware of student needs; participate in child study teams or individualized education planning; implement accommodations and modifications as indicated in student IEP's; seek advice and counsel from student support services areas when needed to ensure that all students are fully served.
• Collaborate with other staff, as necessary, to implement grant-funded programming to accelerate learning for students with a variety of needs including special education, at-risk, limited English proficient students and others, to bring them to grade level proficiency.
• Maintain accurate and complete records as required; maintain the confidentiality of student records and student information. Complete any documentation necessary for the academy to be in compliance with regulatory requirements, such as time and effort reporting.
• Communicate with parents and make provisions for being available outside normal hours; work with parents to encourage participation in their child’s learning experiences; provide regular communication to parents regarding their children’s performance.
• Maintain professional competence via conferences, mentoring, involvement in professional organizations, continuing coursework, etc. Complete all coursework and other requirements necessary to maintain teaching credentials and "highly qualified" status, as required by the teacher's assignment.
• Inform the school leader of needed instructional resources. Serve as an active member of teams such as grade-level, school-wide planning, school improvement or other areas of focus.
• May participate in extracurricular activities such as coaching, clubs, student government, tutoring, enrichment activities, etc.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree with subject area emphasis and/or coursework and/or experience necessary to be deemed "highly qualified" for the grade/subjects to be taught. **Summary**
The College of Engineering & Applied Science at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) will establish and maintain a pool of Lecturers in Computer Science from which future appointments to temporary, non-tenure track positions will be made. Appointments are part-time (less than 50% time) and will be made semester-by-semester. The Computer Science Department offers BS, BA and BI degrees in Computer Science; BI degrees in Game Design and Development, and Cybersecurity; MS in Computer Science and ME in Cybersecurity; and PhD degrees in Computer Science and Cybersecurity.

**Essential Functions**

Position Objective:

• To support an interdisciplinary research and development team that collects data to analyze and implement new generation scientific algorithms in the areas of mechanical engineering or space science

Essential Functions:

• Aid in designing, building, testing, and implementing software applications for computer networks
• Provide technical support for object modeling and algorithm development for new generation science applications
• Perform verification, documentation, and quality assurance for new and existing software
• Support development and maintenance of hardware, software and other operating systems

About This Role:

Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Computer Science Engineer Intern to support the development, integration, and optimization of manufacturing automation
systems and production data tools in a Class II medical device production environment.

This internship offers hands-on experience applying software development, controls integration, and data analytics to real-world manufacturing processes in a regulated
industry compliant with FDA QSR (21 CFR Part 820), ISO 13485, and data integrity standards.

This internship is a 6-month term position with flexible scheduling to accommodate academic commitments and may be either part-time or full-time.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and optimization of automation control software for production equipment and systems.

• Support integration of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), sensors, and actuators into manufacturing processes.

• Help design and implement real-time data collection and monitoring systems to improve process control and visibility.

• Develop scripts, tools, or dashboards to track production performance, equipment status, and quality metrics.

• Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to link automation hardware with software solutions for improved efficiency and repeatability.

• Participate in equipment qualification and software validation for automated systems.

• Maintain and update automation documentation, including source code records, change logs, and validation evidence.

Qualifications

Required:

Assistant Professor - Computer Science
**FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT**
The Department of Computer Science at Queens College, City University of New York invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor position, with appointment to begin in Fall 2026.
As an urban liberal arts college that emphasizes both research and teaching, Queens College has earned high rankings in prestigious college lists, such as Forbes' America's Best Value Colleges. The Computer Science Department serves over 2,500 undergraduate majors and 70 master's degree students, with faculty actively participating in the Computer Science Ph.D. program based at the CUNY Graduate Center.

Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
- establishing and maintaining a research program as evidenced by peer-reviewed publications, conference presentations, grant applications, and funded research;
- teaching a variety of undergraduate and graduate computer science courses; and
- performing administrative, supervisory, and other types of service on departmental/university committees, as well as extramural professional service, such as peer review.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
Minimum Qualifications:
Ph.D. degree in area(s) of experience or equivalent. Also required are the ability to teach successfully, demonstrated scholarship or achievement, and ability to cooperate with others for the good of the institution.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ph.D. degree in Computer Science or related field.
- An outstanding academic or industrial record as evidenced by high-impact publications
- Demonstrated excellence in undergraduate and graduate teaching
- Ability to attract significant research funding
**COMPENSATION**

The Assistant Professor salary range is $98,806 -$105,593.
CUNY is in the process of implementing salary schedule increases. Once implemented, salaries of eligible employees will be adjusted by 3.25% effective 9/1/2025 and 3.5% effective 9/1/26, in accordance with the terms of the PSC-CUNY collective bargaining agreement
