This role would be part of a new “Mobility 3.0” project that aims to bridge the gap between pure research and new product development. We will work closely with partners in Japan to rapidly prototype novel applications of innovative technology (including, of course, AI) to different types and scales of vehicles (including very small).
Responsibilities- Work across teams to ideate on novel concepts for computer vision applications, including understanding and communicating the benefits and limitations of the current state-of-the-art, and the sensitivity to data availability and quality.
- Work multi-functionally with mechanical, electrical, and software engineers to build development and testing plans for computer vision components of larger, integrated mechatronics projects.
- Own the design, development, and deployment of computer vision systems for unique vehicle types.
