JOB PURPOSE
Join our team as a Concrete Production Technician to play a crucial role in maintaining our facility operations! This position is designed for those who enjoy hands-on work and is essential for preventing downtime while ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency in our production processes.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position involves various physical demands, including:
- Working outdoors in diverse weather conditions such as heat, cold, rain, and snow.
- Using fine motor skills and gross motor skills, along with excellent hand-eye coordination and active listening.
- Regularly standing, walking, sitting, kneeling, bending, and lifting or carrying items up to 50 lbs.
- Occasionally climbing and crawling.
- Exposure to loud noises, moving equipment, oils, and other environmental factors.
- Wearing required PPE including safety shoes, safety vests, safety glasses, ear plugs, and hard hats.
PAY RATE: Starting at $28 per hour, with premium pay available for candidates with 2+ years of experience.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Performing repairs.
- Conducting maintenance work.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

- Willingness to travel to various company facilities for maintenance activities may be necessary.
EXPECTED RESULTS AND ACHIEVEMENTS
- Perform general maintenance duties including loading, unloading, and moving materials.
- Carry out basic repairs related to electrical, carpentry, and metal fabrication work.
- Adhere to instructions and guidelines to complete job functions effectively.

- Maintain clear communication regarding repair procedures and project statuses.
- Identify and address maintenance repair opportunities and safety concerns promptly.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: All employees are required to follow all Safety and Quality rules and processes to ensure a safe working environment, and the production of high-quality products.
Receives instructions, rolls torches, steel and tool buggies to bed and unloads.
Uncovers bed, removes, sided forms if applicable, detentions' bed, removed bulkheads, removes block outs and cutbacks with railroad bar, cleans and oils bed.
Lays out rebar, plates, loops, channel and insulations, etc.
Pulls strand, threading bulkheads, block outs, frames and dead man, and; cuts strand with grinder and places chucks on ends.
Places and ties rebar, loops, stem and flange wire, chair flange wire, and places form and side plates.
Prepares for pour - blows out bed with air hose and receives pouring tools.
Receives concrete, hooks up air hoses, spread and vibrates concrete with spud vibrator, vibra trak, or vibrating screed.
Places insulation and C ties in bed, if applicable, scrapes rails, sweeps up excess concrete around bed, collects all tools and materials, and puts them away in tool chest or returns to warehouse.
Job Specifications or Qualifications:
Education and/or Experience : High School Diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Operate jackhammer, forklift, bobcat

Follow appropriate work instructions to clean and upkeep all equipment

Cut and install wood block outs

Set up equipment used for casting bands and finishes

Proper placement of concrete on the bed to match the piece drawings

Monitor bed heat at computer

Lay out the bed with the proper dimensions on each piece drawing and for the overall length of the bed

Set up the bed according to the specs on piece drawings including all form side reveals and bottom steel/plates

Responsible for washing exposed aggregate (panels/full beds)

Responsible for correct dunnage placement of finished product in yard

Grind ends of panels

Grind clean pallet of bed

Scrape clean side forms and chamfer and oil
