Job Title: Construction Administrator / Inspector (Second Shift)
Job Description
As a Construction Administrator, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing various aspects of construction projects. You will be responsible for ensuring that project financial data and schedules are closely monitored, and that all construction activities are documented effectively. Your role will involve coordinating with contractors and stakeholders to ensure the timely progress of projects while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.
Responsibilities
+ Monitor and review budgetary cost accounting; administer construction contract change orders; maintain spreadsheets for project fund allowances, obligations, payments, and planned expenditures.
+ Prepare and maintain daily diaries for project activities, noting events affecting construction, and coordinate with general contractors to compare project progress against schedules.
+ Conduct or attend weekly project meetings to review project schedules and construction contractor payment requirements.
+ Keep thorough records of occurrences and contracts to assist in conflict resolution and perform scheduling, conduct, and document regular progress meetings.
+ Monitor the services of independent testing agencies to perform quality control testing and inspection services.
+ Maintain marked-up sets of project plans for future as-built drawings, perform routine inspections, and notify relevant parties of work requiring correction.
+ Compile lists of defects and omissions related to work performed and provide these to contractors for correction.
Essential Skills
+ Construction management experience (3 years) or engineering degree with 2 years of experience.
+ Excellent communication skills.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
