Crawford, Murphy & Tilly, Inc. (CMT) is a full-service consulting firm focused on four primary markets: Aviation, Surface Transportation, Water Resources, and Building & Site Services. CMT provides planning, environmental, design, and construction observation phase services on projects that range from simple to complex. CMT seeks to fill a full-time position and provide an opportunity to join our Surface Transportation as a Construction Engineer. The selected candidates will have demonstrated leadership qualities, the ability to work as a team member or independently, and the desire to learn new skills and areas of expertise.
General Assignments:
- Perform and lead on-site construction inspection, observation, and documentation services including the supervising and directing of junior staff in support of project managers
- Serve as the engineer’s on-site liaison with the contractor and client and assist the client when required for proper execution of the work
- Prepare, maintain, and distribute required construction documentation including daily reports, pay estimates, change orders, shop drawings, material submittals, progress schedules, project correspondence, testing results, and record drawings in accordance with client and company procedures
- Secondary assignments may include assistance with planning and design of civil & transportation projects including drafting, surveying, materials testing, or other duties as assigned
- Typical projects require the understanding and implementation of construction documents (plans & specifications) including horizontal and vertical layout, site development, grading, drainage, asphalt & concrete paving, pavement marking, signage, erosion control, coordination with other disciplines, water & sanitary utilities, quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and construction scheduling
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is desired; Equivalent experience in lieu of a degree will be considered
- 4 - 10 years of experience required.
- Possess general knowledge and understanding of the construction of transportation, site development, and civil infrastructure projects including the ability to clarify and interpret construction documents
- Previous construction experience, or internship experience, is preferred but not required
- The ability to complete training classes required by clients including Quality Management Training classes for HMA, PCC, and aggregates
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and AutoCAD or MicroStation for use in civil & site design projects
- Ability to manage personnel and delegate tasks
- Ability to work independently and able to effectively manage time and work on multiple projects
- Must be willing to accept out of town travel assignments and work overtime to meet construction project demands
- Successful completion of a security background check which requires employment history, verification, and criminal history records checks (if applicable) of individuals applying for security badges
- Acceptable driving record and valid driver’s license with access to transportation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required

In this role you'll have the opportunity to work on Water projects that improve and enhance the local communities water supply. Job Description
Vertiv is looking for a Construction Engineering Manager in Pelzer, SC who is responsible for how products will be manufactured to ensure maximum efficiencies and effectiveness and look for ways to improve existing manufacturing processes to increase the speed, cost-effectiveness, and quality of output.
Responsibilities- Design processes that will efficiently and effectively manufacture the company's products.
- Research varied manufacturing methods and materials and determine their cost-effectiveness.
- Design, build, and set up new manufacturing equipment.
- Inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment.
- Analyze and optimize all aspects of existing manufacturing processes.
- Communicate with engineering departments regarding the manufacturing process.
- Responsible driving improvements in factory lead time reduction, footprint utilization/optimization, and productivity/efficiency improvements.
- Lead and coach leaders to integrate operations and functions end to end and drive improvement to reduce lead time, improve customer service levels, and lower total operating cost and increase cash flow.
- Participate in all cross-plant manufacturing processes for capabilities and to establish and instigate best practices, including manufacturing related documentation such as work instructions, drawings, and BOMs. Oracle Alice EBS is a plus.
- Create standardized work for leaders throughout operations to drive daily cadence of problem solving and continuous improvement.
- Responsible for the systematic and thorough documentation of all continuous improvement operations projects, including policy and procedural guidelines.
- Standardize plant performance measures for a consistent review of manufacturing operations.
- Research and lead new manufacturing practices across plants to maintain a competitive manufacturing environment.
- Interface with multiple stakeholders to ensure quality, production and inventory controls are sufficient and aligned.
- Drive changes to procedures, policies, processes, and equipment to improve the manufacturing functions.
- Establish budgets and provide control for capital and expense spending.

Minimum Job Qualifications:
- 5-7 years Manufacturing. Operations experience
- Expertise with Oracle Alice EBS and routing Bill of Materials (BOM)
Preferred Job Qualifications
- Extensive knowledge of formalized Advanced and Lean Manufacturing applications.
- Excellent communication and people relations and motivation skills.
- Ability to develop solid working relationships between corporate and division executives and department heads.
- Demonstrated ability to think creatively; ability to coach, train, facilitate and lead teams effectively in a transformational work environment.
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal, communication and networking skills; strong project management and leadership skills; analytical skills; PC skills.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve results through team efforts.
- Prefer Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Management, Engineering or related

POSITION SUMMARY
ROWE is currently looking for Construction Engineering Technicians to join our team. Construction Engineering Technicians work on a diverse range of large and small-scale construction projects, monitoring compliance with construction drawings and specifications. This position will play a big role in growing our Construction Services team. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Monitor construction of highways, bridges, buildings, utilities, and other various types of infrastructure.
- Perform field testing on various construction materials.
- Prepare daily work reports.
- Communicate with the project team throughout the construction process.
We are seeking forward-thinking, safety-conscious, and energetic individuals who are excited to work on both small-scale and large-scale projects. Qualifications required include:
- Previous construction background preferred
- MDOT experience preferred
