Responsibilities- Interfacing with the client and other consultants, at all project stages.
- Financial management: Ensuring prompt client invoicing and utilizing the financial system to monitor a project's financial status.
- Project planning, including producing a detailed project plan.
- Monitoring and applying performance management techniques.
- Managing the change control process.
- Managing the flow of project information between the team and the client, through regular meetings and written communications.
- Preparing formal project budget progress and other reports.
- Quality Control Ensuring compliance with quality standards.
- Working to construct proposals for new work or variations for existing projects.
- Identifying opportunities to improve Project Management procedures, templates and products referring ideas to the appropriate line manager.
- Identifying and ensuring that the appropriate line manager is aware of quality, safety, health and environment issues.
- Establishing effective project governance, processes and systems to be utilized throughout project.
- General line management responsibilities (where appropriate) are effectively discharged.
- Ability to advise strategically during the project conception stage, including providing advice on the different approaches that can be adopted to achieve the client's overall objectives.
- Great time management skills. Ensure that the project is managed to the right quality standards, completed efficiently and on time.
- Ability to build strong working relationships with clients and cross-functional team members.
- Experienced working as an effective team member within the context of delivering a specific commission.

- 5-8 years of construction experience.

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to be highly effective in a client facing role.

**Position Overview**

This individual will direct the construction management of the project andreports to the Project Director. Our Construction Managers are responsible for all construction activities as well as construction support for start-up and technical activities.

Construction Manager shall provide construction and technical field oversight to ensure work is being performed in compliance with OSHA regulations, all state and local codes, compliance with all accepted industry standards, policies and procedures, and the EPC Agreement.
+ Heavy Civil background either in engineering or site management (Power Plant or Industrial Plant work a plus).
+ Monitor the safety, environmental, and quality management of the work.
+ Represent the client in the field and coordinating with the EPC contractor to ensure construction and commissioning work is performed in accordance with project documents, codes, and good industry practice.
+ Review Construction / Engineering drawings.
+ Participate in and lead meetings with the clients project team and EPC.
+ Create and modify daily / weekly reports.
+ Provide input to weekly / monthly / quarterly reports.
+ Manage and resolve issues and non-conformances.
+ Support and drive issue resolution and lessons learned.
+ Act as the clients quality assurance and perform routine audits of the EPC QA/QC program, document and provide reports.
+ Document findings in the field through field observation reports.
+ Lead system turnover walkdowns and verification.
+ Provide input to the clients Project Controls in project quantity tracking and progress reporting.
**Qualifications**
+ Heavy civil background
+ Large industrial complexes or Power Generation preferred.Long term projects and must be willing to travel within the service territory to include, Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi.

Responsibilities
- Project Management
- Approaches each project by developing a collaborative team of stakeholders, consulting departments, outsourced consultants, and other required to ensure a successful project. Develops and leads the project scope, schedule, and budget.
- Actively participates in the capital budgeting process for all requests, coordinating between associates and departments to ensure a complete and accurate scope, schedule, and budget for all requests.
- Reports to Senior Director of construction for overall assignments and project guidance.
- Manages assigned facilities design and construction projects. Responsible for supervising the work of architects, engineers, and contractors to accomplish the project objectives within the budget guidelines. Typical project size is in excess of $100,000 however a full range of scope, schedule, budget is expected.
- Responsible for project documentation and tracking including cost control, life safety documentation, as-built documents, building permits, and certificates of occupancy.
- Directs the development of the CAD & CAFM system for Facilities Planning and Property Management.
- Interfaces with Site leadership and department heads regarding the planning, design and coordination of the construction process. Monitors and communicates project status to administration.
- Able to read and understand architectural drawings.
- Required to create a collaborative team for each project that includes all primary stakeholders, Facilities Operations & Maintenance, Clinical Engineering, Information Technology, Infection Control, and any other department that would have a benefiting role in the success of the project and safety or our patients and staff.
- Demonstrates a detailed understanding of designing, implementing, and acting upon a complete Infection Control Risk assessment (ICRA) plan. Understands the importance and responsibility of a complete ICRA program.
- Reviews designs for compliance with building code regulations and life safety code. Assures adherence to established hospital standards.
- Actively participates in the continual process, policy, and procedural improvement of the overall department utilizing a collaborative team approach. Implements and fosters team building at their assigned site as well as system wide within the department and organization.

- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 5 years progressive experience in facilities project management including planning, coordination and supervision of facilities design and construction. Experience in project administration including capital budgeting, establishing cost tracking controls, monitoring of progress, and reporting to management of projects of the $0K to 10M dollar range.
- Candidates must have a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or related field OR five to seven years of experience.
- Experience in the application of CAD and CAFM as related to facilities project management. Proficient in the use of computer-based spreadsheet, word processing, and project management software.
