Under the direction of the foreperson, paving equipment operators will be responsible for operating several types of road construction equipment in a safe and efficient manner. This equipment may include, but is not limited to asphalt paver, paver screed, steel drum roller, rubber tire roller, skid steer, shaping tractor, power broom, and plate tampers. On the job training will provide the knowledge and skills to become a productive member of one of our crews with the potential for advancement opportunities. This position is a full-time seasonal, working May through November (weather permitting). This position requires working overtime and some Saturdays. Local and regional travel opportunities are available.

Blue World is looking for an experienced Equipment Operator to start in our Houston, TX office. We are looking for a candidate with experience operating hydraulic excavators, dozers, and loaders in varying soil conditions, working varied shifts in the field under various climates. Experience with excavators from mini to 80,000 lbs. excavating trenches for pipes/conduits, foundations, loading haul trucks, light clearing/demo, minor grading and similar tasks is preferred. This position requires a person willing to be a "jack of all trades," in that operator experience is necessary, but the ability to hop off the machine and work within the crew performing other tasks such as maintenance, prep, clearing/cutting, pipe installation above/below ground, welding, minor carpentry, HDPE fusion and other field construction tasks is required. The ideal candidate must also have an excellent work ethic, a willingness to learn new skills, have a team mentality, and be safety-oriented in all situations and environments. The compensation for this position, while commensurate with operating experience, can pay more than most due to the need to do more than just operate equipment.

Qualifications:
